I have two Great Danes and they can cover a lot of ground quickly. This collar makes it so easy to keep an eye on them, especially at night. I have tried many different kinds of lighted collars and this one is the best.

OK, so maybe they shouldn't call it a collar, since there is no way it is strong enough to be used alone. But for what it is, a safety device, it is excellent. The lights are bright enough to be seen at twilight, and it reflects headlights very well too.
I have been stopped frequently by people asking where I got it and how much it costs, so they obviously see the benefits of using this device as well. There are smaller light up tags out there, but in my opionion they are not nearly as visible as this collar.
Do you want your dog to be visible at night? Get this.
Do you want something to fasten a lead to? Get a choke chain or training collar.

I've owned this product for over a year. It is both sturdy and bright. I have a 90 pound shepherd and a 55 pound chow who are both dominant dogs. So feeling secure with the strength of the collar is important to me and I have no hesitance to use this collar on either dog.

Perhaps the other reviewer should return the product as it may have had a defect?

This is a very visible collar. I have a chocolate lab and he blends into the darkness in the night, as well as into the woods in the daytime. This collar helps us to find him day and night. The dayglow is very easy to see in the day, even in the deep woods. At night, the blinking light is a big plus to finding him in the dark. When the light isn't on, the collar still reflects light.

I wouldn't attach my leash to this collar. My dog wears it for safety- we use another collar for the leash.

This is a wonderful collar. Great quality. My only problem with it is that the illuminated portion is not the entire collar, but rather just the middle portion of it. I would give it 5 stars if the entire collar was illuminated.

After trying clip on lights and reflective coats for my Rottie (none of which I was really happy with), I tried this. First off, there is a lot of plastic on the collar. That makes it water-resistant and rust proof, but I would not attach her lead to it directly. She walks with a simple chain collar, and this does not interfere with or catch in it at all. The catch works easily, even one handed. The light is simple and easy to turn on or off. She has a large neck (22") and not many LED collars seem to fit that large a neck. This one does it well.
Visibilty is excellent. The light is bright and covers enough area around her neck to make her visible in the dark from all angles. The reflective section does a great job increasing visibility, whether or not the LED segment is on. She is easy to spot from a distance if she is out in a field with me at night, and I feel much safer walking her along the roads as well.
It is not a very flexible collar, but neither is it one that is intended for constant wear.
It does what it is supposed to, and does it well. I'm just sorry that I didn't find it earlier!

I purchased one of these for each of five dogs. In first three weeks three had the plastic torn that covers
the light portion of the collar. Sometimes they refused to go off when button was pushed. ONE lasted 2 months.
ONLY at a GOOD CHEAP PRICE would I purchase again

I purchased two of these collars about a year ago. One came with a dead battery. Purchased new battery, it worked fine. However, both collars stopped working after a while. They wouldn't turn off. I needed to take the battery out to stop the flashing light. Then, after a while, when I re-inserted the battery it would no longer light up.

Great while it lasted, but poor quality killed the joy.

Our Lab Mix lady who adopted us (she was on our porch one morning)? She loves this collar, she will sit and wait for me to activate it before she goes out at night and then when she comes in? She sits and waits for me to turn it off. We live in the country, it is not well lit out here and she is extremely visible and safety FIRST. At first I inclined to a very feminine pink collar with charms, etc., we all feel better knowing she is safer than she was before we purchased this.

The collar is nice at night and it flashes. The reflecting tape works great. The main issues are that the collar slips looses at the adjustment clip. I had to tie it in a knot to stop it from slipping loose. The collar is not water proof and the first time it got wet the light died. It's too bad because it looks great. Buyer Beware.
