Paid for itself upon arrival! Bought my wife a nice watch for our anniversary and of course the band was too large. This little gizmo worked flawlessly. Even better, two days later my wife felt she wanted the watch a little tighter. 1, 2, 3 and she was set. No trip to the jeweler, and no additional $$$$.

By the way, others have commented that they initially broke the device's removal pins. My recommendations to avoid this include:

1. Look closely at the watch band's links. Most will have an arrow pointing to which direction you should remove the link pin.

2. Be sure to carefully line up the device pin to the link pin you are going to remove (Don't be vain. Get out the magnifine glass if you need it!).

If you get significant resistance you've either started from the wrong side or you are not properly lined up!

I just had a watch buying spree and had three that needed to be sized. I watched the jeweler do it before and said that looks doable so I started looking for something so I could do it my self. All other products were not worth it. I usually get charged $8 to size a watch and for the price I was seeing I was just like, forget it I will just take them in. THEN! I ran across this product on sale for $12 I bought it with no expectations. I have never sized a watch before and when it arrived I opened the box and was a little shocked that there are very few directions. So with a little common sense and the few times I saw it done I proceeded to size 3 $400+ watches in less that 5 minutes! It paid for itself the day I opened it! Thank you so much! I will always need a watch repairperson but never again will I have to wait to wear a new watch.

This item based on the price is very good, I am very satisfied with it; I had another one different brand, more expensive, and the pin broke, I have to throw it away, because has no pin to replace. In the other hand this one has 4 extra pins

This tool is VERY cheaply made, but with care,it can be very useful. When sizing bracelets with difficult link pins, be sure not to remove pins from the very end links. The link will shift under pressure and bend or break the tool's pin. Removing pins from links farther up the bracelet will allow the surrounding links to support the one you are removing.

It is simple to use and useful. Much cheaper than running to the jeweler or Walmart where you'll find some... well I won't offend anyone today. Good stuff

I love this little tool. Only flaw is a couple of my bands are too wide. But other then that I love it and can manage all my watches with this one.

Works as described. I resized my wife's watch in a breeze. It doesn't push the pin all the way out, so you have to get a small plier to pull the pin out, which leaves tiny chew marks on the pin. But hey, who is ever gonna see the pins anyway? Made out of cheap plastic, but with $11 what do you expect. All in all, pretty handy tool to have around.

This would not fit the watch band for my new Diesel watch not that its an oversized band by any means, it just doesn't provide a lot of room for a mans watch, I had 2 other watches that were of similar size and they would not fit either. I think this is more for smaller women's watches. I wish they would put the specifications for what watch band sizes this thing can handle, my watch band is 24mm. Even if it was smaller it would still be very difficult to line up the cheap plastic screw in pin with the hole on a watch band. I tried carving part of the plastic off so I could fit my watch band but it still wouldn't fit right. I ended up using the thin slots on the side. I jammed my watch band in there and just took out the blue plastic screw in pin holder and after breaking one pin, I used the pin holder to push out my watch pins and I was finally able to remove my watch links.

I'm only giving this 2 stars because with it I was able to remove my watch links, although I was provided no instructions for the method I used... I would've given it 3 had they provided specs on what size watch bands this can accommodate (it gives dimensions but does not state the width in which a watch band will fit within it, a measurement in millimeters would be helpful). If they provided this and I didn't see it than its my fault, but seeing as there are very little specifics about this product to begin and its very cheap (inexpensive and made), I guess I can't complain too much.

Anyways, if you have a watch band thats I would say, larger than 20-22mm, you may want to stay away from this product. Although it did get the job done, it was a hassle and I don't believe I used it in the way that it was intended, but who knows, there were no instructions provided...

I bought this neat little gizmo after a wonderful guy named Chris H (thanks, Chris!!) read my review bemoaning a watch band on a watch I purchased at Amazon being ridiculously huge. I had been putting off taking the watch to a jeweler to be sized, partly because I never seem to have the time and partly because I didn't want to go to the expense of having a watch I'm not particularly in love with sized. So, at Chris H's suggestion, I gave this little gizmo a try. It worked like a charm! I had read another reviewer warn that the pins would only pop out correctly if you lined up the link remover with the pins pointing in the correct direction, so I remembered to look for the little arrows on the inside of the band. By doing that, the pins popped out with very little pressure applied. After removing the number of links I needed to, I reused one of the pins I popped out to re-connect the links. Saved me a good bit of both time and money. I'm still not crazy about the watch, but at least it fits now, so I can get some use out of it. Great watch link remover!
