Editorial Reviews

From the Author

This is my second novel.  The first, SEAMS16:A New Home, was primarily written in waiting rooms, doctor's offices, patient rooms, treatment rooms, etc. while my Dad battled cancer.  This novel was similarly written in waiting rooms, patient rooms, recovery rooms, etc. while my Mom had her knee replaced.  The writing provided a needed escape from the tension surrounding the surgery and boredom during the recovery.  Mom is doing fine and is walking better than she has for years.  She has read and approved both novels.

About the Author

Born and raised in West Mitten, USA (Grand Rapids, MI), Eric still lives in the area in a house he built, (literally), with the help of his wife, Therese, and two sons, Eric Jr. and Nicholas, (and various other friends and relatives). The boys are grown and gone, although they both live in the area. Eric and Therese have managed to get past the empty nest syndrome and currently only share their home with their two dogs, Sable and Tucker, and a cat, Liza.

SEAMS 16: Arrival is a continuation of the first book SEAMS 16: A New Home. What I love about this book, is that it starts right where the first book left off. The details about the station are so descriptive, you feel like you are part of the crew onboard. Who wouldn't want to live in space?
The main characters, Charlie and Susan are very intriguing. You want to know everything about them and their life onboard the SEAMS 16 station. I've become completely attached to their story and I can't wait for the next book. Another great thing about this series is that the books do not end on a cliff hanger. They can be read independently without the other.

Arrival is the perfect counterpart to A New Home. Thomasma has succesfully developed a new world within reach of the old with characters we can all relate to and action we all crave.
