Excellent book!!!!
This is a great book and definitely worth the money. It has excellent material on security and many of it is applicable to the real world. After reading this book and going over the questions provided by the PrepLogic CD I passed the exam on the first time!!!!!!!! Brian

Don't waste your money!
This book reads like it was written by a 12 year old. I only needed to read the first chapter and decided to return it. It is filled with incorrect information and incorrect test answers. The security suggestions are rediculous, and not really useful or manageable in a business environment (One Time Passwords, VPN to the Desktop). Don't waste your money on this...

This book is exactly "on" regarding the SECUR exam. It is definitely worth adding to the library. It is clear, concise and right to the point. Several concepts such as character and interface mode and the Intrusion Detection System (IDS) on the router, which are critical to understand for certification, were picture perfect along with the other components of this book. I don't believe I have seen a more direct and to the point explanation on IPSec than the one contained inside the pages of this book. Even if you are not pursuing certification, this book will help clear up misconceptions regarding security and the IOS router with the firewall feature set.It is a "keeper".

Read this book over the holiday and passed the exam on the first shot with a high passing score!!! I highly recommend this text to anyone study for the Cisco SECUR exam.
