5.0 out of 5 stars Mesmerizing!
This is one of the most poetic science-fiction romances I've ever read. I loved the language, the seductive beauty of it! It's a gamut of emotions tinged with the truly surreal and bizarre and has stuck with me for years... especially the thing about the full moon.... But I won't spoil it for you: you'll have to read it through to see what I mean. The ending, for me, was...

5.0 out of 5 stars PIKE'S BEST EVER!, May 16, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: See You Later (Turtleback)
I love Christopher Pike, and in my opinion this is his best book ever. In it, Pike shows off his great sense of humor (a quality of his writing so often overlooked) and his ability to develop complex characters that you truly care for, along with an amazing plot. Although complicated, the plot is not difficult to understand once you get into it. It is brilliant and unpredictable, and you won't be able to put this book down. But the main reason I prefer this book over all of Pike's other masterpieces is the characters. It's told from the perspective of Mark Forum, a senior in high school who programs computer games. Mark has a brilliant sense of humor, he's witty and smart. He feels like a real person, someone you'd know and care about. The other characters aren't developed quite as well, because they're all seen from Mark's perspective, but all are excelent. The ending of this book was one of the best I've ever read. It was sad but also happy, and it really makes you think. I'd recommend this book to anyone, fans of horror, sci-fi, fantasy, romance, teen novels, whatever. Everyone should read this book

5.0 out of 5 stars A masterpiece!, January 3, 2000

Not only is this Pike's best book, but it is also my favorite novel of all time. From the opening page, I feel that I can relate to Mark as much as I can relate to myself. Few books can be described as being beautiful but this book really can! I'm currently reading it for the 5th time. If you only read one Pike book, read this one. It is is perfect for fans of every genre imaginable. Now, if only someone would produce a movie of this book...

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Moving, December 17, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: See You Later (Paperback)
I'm not sure how, but Pike somehow manages to touch my heart with this book. After all, Mark is not someone that I normally would feel for, and I'm about as emotional as a stone. The stuff about him being sorry for himself, it kinds of gets to me. I really felt sorry for him and admired him for being able to conquer it at the end. Vincent, too, was a cool character, though I don't see that type in Pike's books very often. One that comes to mind is Neil's ghost in Chain Letter 2.

Anyway, this is a great book and I'd put it right up there with Remember Me 1, 2 & 3. Very touching.

A Review by Carol
Mark has just graduated from high school and met a girl named Becky. Mark fell in love with Becky but she was dating Ray. Becky and Mark become pretty good friends. Mark meets a couple, Vincent and Kara. They all become good friends quickly. Kara is obsessed with trying to break up Ray and Becky. Things begin to get weird with everybody, and a strange guy shows up.

The ending is totally unexpected. I would say my favorite character is Mark, is role is so realistic and he just seems like an average guy. Some aren't very believable though. This book wasn't really any interest to me. The moods in this story change around a lot. There are lots of lessons of love in the book. There weren't any complicated sentences to read or anything. It was easy to follow the story until the end. The end just confused me. The conflicts in this book are not real at all. The climax occurs about halfway through the book. I think if the book would have been any shorter it wouldn't have given you enough information, it's just the right length to read. Sometimes when the scenes are changed it's confusing and I don't understand them. But, the author does describe things okay. The only thing that sort of disappointed me was the ending and some description settings.

I would only recommend this book to people who enjoy mystery and stories that have to do with aliens and space. It's an average book to read but, some settings are confusing. I didn't enjoy this book but, others

This review is from: See You Later (Paperback)
The story can get confusing but once you've read the book through, you'll understand why some things happened in the book. A very gripping story, full of computer science, Science-fiction & romance. A must-read for all pike fans & non-pike fans.

5.0 out of 5 stars Breathtaking, December 22, 2000
This review is from: See You Later (Paperback)
See You Later is a wonderful wistful tale that essentially poses the question "what if?". I loved it when I was younger and I love it even more now. I adore the nonviolent theme related to the video game and the character of Vincent. A beautiful love story for any age...

5.0 out of 5 stars Intriguing! Fascinating!, September 18, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: See You Later (Paperback)
I thought this book was spectacular! It truly was. When I finshed the last page, I was in awe. This book completely fascinated me. I was amazed at how different and interesting it was. I have to admit though, I had to skip back a couple of pages a few times because it was so confusing. The whole story was brilliant and... it was just brilliant! You have to read this book. I gurantee you will never read anything like it!
