4.0 out of 5 stars Great deal of fun December 22, 2011
Verified Purchase
This bundle (if purchased while on sale) is a great value for some old school fun. The only downside I found with this bundle is that it consists of 12 separate downloads but luckily the largest is only 29MB. Also, none of the games come with a product code/key so they can not be redeemed via Steam.

UPDATE: The 12 downloads all install to the same folder and the individual games are accessible through a single main "SEGA Genesis Classics" menu. Unfortunately the games are not in alphabetical order but rather by the list you see under "Product Description" above. You only get to see one title at a time. This is a little cumbersome, but not terrible. I also found out that at some point I had purchased "SEGA Genesis Classics Series 1" through Steam and now the rest of this pack is playable through Steam since it's all added to the original install folder. Nice.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works on Steam May 16, 2013
Verified Purchase
I want to confirm what another review posted: if you buy any of the SEGA Genesis & Mega Drive Classics packs through Steam, these games will install to the same directory and you can access them from the same menu. The only thing Steam does is provide a shortcut to the game launcher.

So do like I did, pick up Collection 5 on Steam (not included in this Mega Pack) and you'll get a big pile of games and convenient Steam access for minimal money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Games at a Great Price June 27, 2014

This was a great deal in that every game I played as a kid
was sold for only $5. Plus, the games were so small that
they took up very little room on my hard drive.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brings Back the 80s for Me. March 22, 2014

Great replay of old games as long as you have a compatible joystick. You must buy a controller to really enjoy these games.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great games Bad menu February 5, 2014
Verified Purchase
I wish they had come up with a simpler way of choosing what you want to play. The menu is slow and out of order, but the games all play fine. All in all not bad if you get it on sale.

5.0 out of 5 stars A lot of memories for $4.95 January 1, 2014
Verified Purchase
I caught the Sega 48-Game Mega Arcade Pack on sale for $4.95, and for that price it was definitely worth it to bring back some memories of games I played 20+ years ago. Installing them wasn't too much of a pain. It required 12 separate downloads and installations, but all the games all get installed into a single folder and get launched from a single program/menu. Once installed, the games all run without issue. The graphics are poor, the controls clunky, but that is the charm of these video games from the past. Young gamers will probably laugh at these games, but it's a lot of memories for us older folks. I would never pay anything near the $69 retail price of this game pack, but for $5, it was a steal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Caught on sale, December 27, 2013

I paid 5 bucks for this set, I haven't much explored it but for 5 bucks just getting Sonic Spinball is worth it! I enjoyed a lot of these games as a kid, and any Sega fan will enjoy this pack.
