I really didn't know the importance of sensory integration strategies until I viewed this DVD. As a parent of 4 children, 2 of which having special learning issues, it is easy for me to understand how each child is an individual, born with their own set of preferences and sensitivities, and I now know the reason and importance of understanding those intricacies. Some children have trouble paying attention in class or sitting still, to the point where it might affect their ability to learn in class, which unfortunately can lead to radical medical interventions. Sensory integration strategies are time tested methods developed by occupational therapists and may be the key to unlocking your child's ability to participate and grow in school. Sensory Integration Strategies thoroughly explains the role senses play in learning, how it may cause a breakdown in a child's learning process, and strategies to improve their educational abilities.
