I have finally decided to purchase brushes to apply my make up instead of using q-tips or the little sponge applicators. This is a great starter kit for the beginner like myself or for travel. It's the perfect size to carry in your bag and the quality is amazing. I was afraid the brushes would be cheap but they are just as good if not better than some of the over priced ones on the market today. My focus was on my eyes so if that is what you are looking for, this brush kit is the one for you. The brushes are a little smaller than I thought but it is a travel kit.

I've always wondered how the make-up artists made women look so beautiful with sponge-tip applicators. The truth is, they don't. They use high-quality brushes like these to acheieve the subtle application of the latest looks. I love this product! It's compact, perfect for travel (which I do for a living), and the brushes are soft, yet sturdy. I couldn't ask for more. I wish I'd purchased it 10 years ago when I started trying to look like the models in Seventeen magazine.

The size of this set was my favorite part! I actually got to see it in the store before I bought it, and it's tiny! Closed, it's about 5 inches tall, and about 3 inches wide. Open, it's about 6 inches wide. (the pouch). Also, even when it's closed, it's very thin. It reminds me very much of the size of a passport. (only a little taller). The magnetic closure is actually quite brilliant, you don't have to align anything, you just fold it shut. The brushes themselves have been great. I mostly use the eyebrow/liner brush and the smudger brush... but all of them are great quality. The only thing I wish was different, is to have a travel sized concealer brush, instead of the blender brush. I have noticed a little bit of shedding, but it's tolerable.

I actually bought this set from the Sephora store. It has the same brushes but a prettier case. It is such a great kit. I have been making do for years with lower quality tools. This is a delight!

Purchased this set to use while traveling and found them so useful and convenient that I consistently use them over my other brush sets--whether traveling or not. The brushes included are perfect for creating every eye look i've dared to try and are small enough for travel, but large enough to handle easily. The only way it could get any better is if Sephora expanded the set just a bit to include an eyebrow and lip brush. The magnetic case is a plus as well!

These brushes are much better than I expected them to be. I love the case because it is so easy to open and close. The size is perfect for travel too. I live half of my life away from home and I need good brushes that don't take up too much space.

I love sephora brushes. These are a little smaller than I thought, but they get the job done and you can't beat the price.

I bought this set on June in 2006, I am writing this review on July, 2009, three years and almost one month later.

I love these brushes! When I first saw them, I thought they seemed good quality and handy. That's why I kept them in my purse for daily make up, but they beat up my expectations remaining in my ever changing purse throughout the years.

The brush selection is great, for them to be perfect I would probably just swap the liner brush for a huge blending one (like MAC 227).

Three years and counting, I've been using them quiet a lot, and they still look and feel as thought they were new. They remain very soft and gentle with the skin. So yes, they are very durable and totally worth the price. As I said, I keep them with me at all times, which is great because when I go make up shopping it's nice to try out the different eye shadows with my own brushes. (I'm a bit of a clean brush maniac)

The only sign that would show I've had these brushes for a while, is the absence of the Sephora name on the handle, it was gone within the first month.

I bought these brushes after my realization that I can only go so far with applying make up with my fingers. I've used cheap brushes in the past (the sort you find at Walgreens) but they always felt rough and constantly left hairs everywhere. Hence my skepticism that I could actually find good brushes. However, the Sephora travel kit brushes are fantastic! They are the perfect size (I was worried they'd be too short) and feel so smooth on my skin. I've been using them constantly and they haven't shown any signs of wear. Also, the case they arrived in is very useful; it's elegant and small with a magnetic closure. After this, I'll never go back to cheap brushes again! Very well worth the money.

This set is wonderful, the quality of these brushes is great, they're sooo soft, the bristles are very similar to the ones used in the chanel brushes but half the price! Practical size for travel, and the case is plain brilliant, no more mess with the magnetic closure
