Contains: A two-sided board, 27 tiles, 24 point chips and instructions. The inventor of SET has done it again!

Marsha Falco has taken her award-winning family favorite, SET, and adapted it for children as young as 3. The long-awaited, much-anticipated SET Junior is here! With new concepts built on the principles of the original game Marsha has geared SET Junior toward younger minds. SET Junior is two games in one box! It’s a two-sided board game designed to grow with the child. Side one teaches matching using colors, shapes and numbers. The magic squares on the board have SETs in all directions and start to familiarize kids with what the different types of SETs look like. Players take turns matching their tiles to the corresponding squares on the board and collecting point chips for completing SETs. Once they have learned to identify SETs, kids can flip the board and race to find as many SETs as possible! On side two of the board there are 10 squares where tiles are placed face up. Each tile contains three features, symbol (oval, squiggle or diamond), color (red, purple or green) and number (one, two or three).

A SET is three tiles where each feature, when looked at individually, is either ALL THE SAME or ALL DIFFERENT. When a player finds a SET they shout “SET” and remove the SET from the board, scoring one point.***The dealer replaces the three tiles and the fun continues. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins. Marsha’s ability to disguise learning with fun has endeared her games to many people over the years. She has really outdone herself this time by creating a super-fun kids game that is excellent for developing right-brain left-brain connectivity and increasing cognitive and logical functionality at a critical stage in a child’s development.

SET Junior is so much fun that kids will ask to play over and over and parents will have the satisfaction that their kids are learning while playing a game they love!

I am a preschool teacher and purchased Set Junior for my class. My expectations were exceeded. This game not only teaches counting, colors, shapes and matching, it also teaches children to plan ahead and strategize. The game is short enough to keep the children's attention and it is also great fun for adults. I love that side two of the gameboard, provides a more challenging version of the game. It allows the children an opportunity to improve in their skills and challenge themselves further. I think this game would be great for anyone who works with or has children ages 3-6.

I love it and my boys do too! The quality is great especially for the price. It's a great version of the SET game (an all time favorite). Perfect for my youngest, who is 3, yet still entertaining for his older brothers 6 and 9!

Said 4-8 on Amazon but 3+ on the box. More expensive than the older set (5+), fewer 'sets' or groups. Only advantage seems to be that the cards are thicker. I read the box and immediately ordered the older set for my 5yo and returned this one.

This game is super easy to play and super easy to learn. It's geared toward young kids. Shows colors, shapes, and a symbol to learn how to match where the pieces go to. Great tool for young kids before they hit kindergarten you can play this game and they will learn about shapes, sizes, colors and so much more. The game is very easy to put together and very easy to put back in the box. Kids can play this by themselves or you can join in and help guide them along. My 3 year old learned a lot about his shapes from this game. The game only really pops out at your eyes where it matters the most which is helpful for keeping the kids into the game and keep going. Love the whole chips idea with collecting the most which shows you how well, they have been coming along.

We played Set on multi-family camping trips when I was a kid. I'm excited to have a version that my five year old niece can play. When she is old enough, she will be able to join right in playing the 'grown-up' version, original Set!

This was a brithday present for my daughter - my attempt to get her more interested in games. It wasn't too successful in that regard, but the tic-tac-toe side is still one of her two favorite games. My son (the game lover), on the other hand, loves it. On the advanced side, we started off with a 60-seconds-before-daddy-is-allowed-to-look rule. It's now down to 10 seconds, and still too long. It's fun for adults and kids and the kids are learning something. You can't ask for much more in a game for everybody.

My daughter who is almost 3 loves this game. I was surprised that she was able to play the matching side (the younger side).
It's a great game for exercising spatial reasoning and pattern matching. It's hard for her to sit through the whole game. Once she matches a few, she wants to move on to her other toys. It's a game that she can grow into because there's the other side which is closer to the way that the normal SET card game is played.

I was very pleased to see SET junior! I'm already addicted to the mobile game and SET cubed so I grabbed this one to keep my nieces/nephew busy while they are at my house (instead of plopping them in front of the TV). They absolutely love it! The bonus is that they exercising their brains, working on memory/problem solving skills. Highly recommend for a gift or for your own kiddos. The price is right and shipping was super fast.
