The Abit SG-95 is a MicroATX motherboard with SiS 662NB/966LSB chipset designed for Intel LGA775 processors with 800MHz FSB. It supports Pentium D, Pentium 4, Celeron, and Celerons D CPUs, along with 2006FMB Intel Conroe processors and Intel Hyper-Threading/EM64T/EIST Technology. Due to SiS 662 chipset specification, SG-95 can only support CPU of FSB800MHz. There are two 240-pin DIMM sockets for up to 2GB memory, signal channel 64bit mode DDR2 667/533 Un-buffered non-ECC memory. Integrated SIS Mirage 1 Graphics GPU offers a high performance 256-bit 3D engine and 2D Accelerator. Also features onboard 10/100 LAN and 7.1-channel HD audio by ALC883.

Their customer service is terrible. The boards are unstable and getting them replaced costs you money. They used to make really great products but Personally I will never deal with this company again. If you want to sign up for a lot of headache go ahead, but you where warned.

Amazon emailed me asking me to review the item--so here it goes. Don't buy this board. Buy anything else; it is as simple as that. I build a lot of systems and this board was problematic from the word go. I used a SIS chipset once before and it was very problematic. As such, I suspect the SIS chipset is the problem since Abit is generally a good company. I'm not talking about all the hardware limitations (only SATA1, no Dual-Channel support, limited overclocking), I'm talking about the boards pitiful, unstable performance at stock settings. I tried this with 3 separate classes of compatible CPUS (a Pentium D, Pentium 4, and Celeron D) and 4 different types of compatible memory. In all cases the system was remarkable unstable and remarkably hot. The onboard video is worthless, you must install a separate video card or even the sharpest LCD will look terrible. A search will show that Shuttle created a system with essentially this same board -- it is the lowest rated Shuttle system ever. A 945 Intel board is only slightly more money and infinitely better in performance and quality, even VIA chipset boards are far superior. Furthermore there are no utilities to monitor the system, so when mine kept overheating and rebooting there was no way to check to temps except the BIOS. A P4 641 that ran at a chilly 30 degrees Centigrade on an an Intel 945 board in the same case with the same heatsink ran at almost 90 degrees on this - that's pushing 200 degrees Fahrenheit. You're bound to burn up the chip, board and maybe your house. It wasn't a sensor problem and the heatink was attached properly. I even tried a high end Artic Cooling Heatsink/Fan. Only cooled things slightly. Touched the heatsink and still have a blister. Really, buy something else.

The 2 stars are for Amazon, which gave 5 star service. Great return service and a refund. The board is worthy of too many negative stars to count.
