I was looking for an adapter that would allow me to plug a 2.5mm headset of my choice (i.e., a mike & earpiece for hands-free operation) into my Samsung SGH-T219. Unfortunately that's not what this item does. On the Bargaincell website, it's pretty clear-- they say "For audio / music output only. Audio input not available." I wish it had been worded that clearly in this listing.
Searching around there seems to be a lot of adapters that do what this one does, and none as far as I can tell that do what I want. (If you happen to know of one, it'd be great to hear about it via a comment. TIA.)

I believed I was getting an adapter that would make it possible for me to use a hands-free headset for my Samsung phone. However, (as other reviewers had noted), it broke open the first day I had it even though it did snap back together. But also, IT IS NOT FOR HAVING CONVERSATIONS ON THE PHONE!!!! When I contacted the company by phone about this product, (after several e-mail contacts) they explained that it is not MEANT to be used for conversation - the adapter is called "audio headset adapter" and is only MEANT to be used for listening to music. Why on earth would I care to listen to music from my cell phone? Anyway, before we determined that it was the wrong piece of equipment they had volunteered to send me another adapter and they DID respond to my e-mails and phone calls, so their customer service is good.I SURE WISH THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE SPECIFIC ABOUT THAT!!!!!

Not sure what the problem was with this thing but it didn't work at all.
