This item works without problems with my Ssamsung a707 (SYNC) phone. I've used it to listen to music through a few sets of headphones (3.5 mm jack, the standard one for most headphones); it sounds fine as far as I can tell.

Note: A number of people have mentioned this, but the plastic casing that covers the 20-pin (ish) connector into the phone is not well sealed, and came apart (didn't break, just came apart) within a few hours of use. I put a dab of superglue on the pins which snap it together, and this instantly (and thus far, permanently) solved the problem. I have had no other trouble since.

As for the item itself: it made my phone into a much more pleasant and usable music player. When I get a call, the music stops and my ringtone plays. Obviously, there's no way to answer the phone with the adapter. Also, you can't talk with the adapter in, so you must unplug it to answer the phone, but this is really a trivial task.

All in all, it is a useful device--it does what it is advertised to do (with a little superglue).

It is working very well and I don't have any problems with it...Many people wrote that item broke or case is really bad made,but I don't have any problems with it.Yes I know that I can't speak and listen with that adapter at the same time.But it still works!

Exact part I needed to be able to use my Samsung phone as an mp3 player. Fast delivery and great price.

The end that connects to the phone came apart, I manage to use crazy glue, to hold it together.

This item is very cheaply made. I haven't even had it a month and the casing on the plug just fell of. It still works but all the wires are showing, it only a matter of time before they come apart, them I won't be able to use it. I Would not recommend getting this product. I also contacted the site where I purchase it and they never responded as to a refund or exchange.

I bought this for a Samsung Slider, SGH-A727, and it's not compatible. The size and shape are almost right, but not quite close enough to actually fit into the phone. Of course now, looking more carefully, I see that they only promise that it will fit an SCH-A727, which doesn't seem to exist (since SCH are CDMA phones, and the A is for ATT, which uses the GSM models that start with SGH).

Maybe they thought that this was a clever loophole for people like me that just looked for Samsung A727. Regardless, I clearly don't recommend this product.

This item is an excellent buy for the price. I was also very impressed with how quickly I received this item. Thumbs up all the way!!!!

This item broke when I tried to plug it into my Alias SCH-U740. Very poorly constructed. Others have noted failures within a short time, so I don't think this an isolated case. Not recommended.
