First off, the product is not bad at all. It does the job its supposed to do and looks relatively cool. Bones to pick are the fact that despite the description in Amazon and on the package, there was no protective seal for the apple logo and the fact that the "carbon fiber" pattern is well, not quite carbon fiber. It looks more like what it is, textured plastic. It did however come with a screen cleaner so maybe they swapped it for the logo seal.
The worse part is that the logo cutout is a hair too big so the silver shows through. Again, if you don't nail the application, it ends up making your i-pad look lame. Would have been better to choke in the cut-out a bit so it flushes with the black of the logo.
The application is relatively easy but you better get it right the first time. I have experience with adhesive films so I was able to fit it well, but I think for the average person, they are in for a lot of annoying air bubbles or off-center placement. Some advice - curl the film like a "U" and apply the center of the film so you align with the logo properly - set it down lightly just in case you need to reposition it. Then drop the sides of the "U" slowly and evenly. Finally press down the film from the center in an outward direction, again evenly. If you do get an air bubble, take a sharp and small pin, pop a hole at a seam in the pattern and work the air out.
At the end - it works. I don't worry so much when putting my pad down on the table or passing across a desk or table.

This item did not fit my iPad. The logo cutout is not precise enough - silver showed through. I've applied InvisiShield skins without a problems. This one was impossible to apply. I returned this time to Amazon immediately.

This product not only looks nice but it goes on without any trouble. It is a self stick back much like a screen protector and it goes on without a problem. I had to lift it off once because I placed it on crooked but it went back on with no trouble. Like screen protectors you just need to work slow and take your time. If you put it on wrong don't worry just peel it back up and lay it on again.
The apple logo is cut out on the back so you do have to try and match that, but it's not a problem don't try and match it up perfectly, just make sure you are squared/aligned on the top and use the apple logo to guide the center. When you open it you'll understand what I mean, trust me it's really easy. I have shaky hands and I was able to align it with no problem.

Poor Quality
felt like cheap textured vinyl that was very difficult to apply. post application noticed white adhesive around top edge of the film and the film shifts on the ipad. Read more
