I mounted four of these on top of an Econoline van, using a welded 1 1/2 inch frame added to a standard ladder rack. We attached the panels with aluminum angle iron and pop rivets and put a wind deflector on the front. I've completed about 5000 miles with this rig, and the panels generate in all light conditions, some power being produced from the crack of dawn to sunset. We had to take off the rather inadequate connectors that came with and solder everything. We found that one of them shook loose, and another had a voltage drop of about 4 volts, but after soldering and shrink wrapping everything all panels are running at full rated power for several hours around noon. Of course, solar panels are constantly getting more efficient and prices are dropping nicely, but the 80 cents (plus shipping) cost of these units made them a good buy.

I am slowly building a solar backup system. I made no mistake in ordering these panels. They are very good and they came to me in a special delivery truck with no other items in the back. Outstanding.
