Bought this out of curiosity to see how it works, expected to see a piezo-element of the sort used in an electric lighter. I was pleasantly surprised to find 4 button cells, a die-bonded IC chip oscillator, switch, and a tiny auto-transformer! Also, the pen actually works, you can write with it - you twist the silver nib. Quite a lot for a couple of bucks, seems like.
