Revered British actor Bogarde narrates this utterly fascinating and highly readible story of his later years, living in the French countryside...working in the final film projects of his distinguished career...and attending to the needs of himself and his aging companion.

Beautifully, lyrically written it seemlessly segues from flamboyant prose about life in the country to a serious, evocative chronicle about the love of life and the journey entailed when faced with its end.

Timeless and touching. A great read.
