It said on Amazon that this is a self-priming pump, and boy is it! It drew water from the lake into an empty 100 foot hose with ease. Very happy with the pump.

This pump does prime it self as stated!Others I have had were hard to get started, but not this one! Warning, Don't drop it like I did! Had to replace the plastic housing. Broke the 1/2" inlet off before I ever used it after testing it!

Works as represented. Pressure and volume perfect. Easy installation. Simple to replace the original pump in my 1993 Winnebago. Only suggestion: could be a little quieter.
