If you liked the original Homeworld you'll like 2. For a sequel the project team did a pretty good job at staying true to what made the original game so successful while adding advancements in technology and task-mastering. For me HW 2 is a little more difficult than I remember Homeworld being but I attribute that to a lack of playing time (yes, work is a 4 letter word) and an advancing case of alzheimers (old timers) disease. I think the graphics are above average but certainly don't stress the nVidea 6800 series cards. Of course I haven't gotten very far into the game yet and that could change if they start throwing a ton of adversaries at me but I'm feeling pretty confident. In many ways I think it's safe to say that I'm most pleased, not so much by what is new but, by what worked the 1st time & how 2 feels the same. For someonw who normally likes shooters I really enjoy Homeworld (2) maybe cause it isn't.

I have had this game for over 7 years and this game never stops getting fun. Theres a TON of mods such as Point Defense Systems, TFS, HomeworldFX, Starwars Warlords, and more that makes this game so much fun and the fact that there are still people out there that still play this game. graphics are beautiful, the battles are realistic and that its easy to control the battlefield with hundreds of ships. I recommend buying this game if you love Space RTS.

This game is beautiful and awesome. The battles are very realistic looking, and the physics seem very correct. This game does everything right, except for one fatal flaw. Everything is extremely soothing and relaxing. From the announcers super calm soothing voice, to the fact that it takes a good five minutes to have a fighter squadron fly across the map (much less a frigate). Anyway I have fallen asleep playing this game multiple times. Other than that Its a great game.
