I bought a Digi002 control surface and I needed a firewire card for it. The card I originally bought did not work. If you have any audio equipment requiring a firewire connection, buy this card. It has the TI chip which is needed to get your equipment connected correctly, especially Digidesign equipment.

Bought this Firewire card in hopes for maximum compatibility with my M-Audio Firewire 1814 audio interface and the result seems flawless so far (compared to previous firewire adapter which used VIA's FW chipset).

This was a no-brainer install and it works great - especially for the Application that my built-in 1394 Port would NOT work with - (Digidesign ProTools).
