De'Matto looked him in the eyes."You can't save this kid."He paused and moved back as if he expected to be punched in the mouth."Let him go, Agent Belger.Joseph Argent is no longer human," De'Matto said, flatly."He is a creation of Don Antone. He's a machine, Belger, a fighting machine used to make money."

Frank gained a few strides as Cheetah Argento turned the corner around Patty's Diner, sliding on the ice.Frank was closing in and his confidence swelled. He ran into the alley and stopped cold.He faced a pitch-blackness he had not known existed in alleyways before. There were no lights from any windows, no street lamps to cast shadows, only a blackness which enveloped him.Frank halted and attempted to catch his breath. This kid knew where he was going, Frank realized. This had been planned."Argento!" Frank called out.He took a step forward.Brittle ice cracked. "Hey super cop," Cheetah said.He hid within the darkness. His heart pounded a steady drumbeat in his chest. Frank froze.Did the kid have a gun?He ducked behind a wall, trying to steady his breathing.Cheetah's laughter echoed in the alley. "You arrogant little shit..." Frank muttered.Argento had drawn him into the alley easily. Now he was a target. He placed his hand on his gun."Come on out of there," he said."I can stand here all night.I'm not leaving, Argento.I want to talk to you."He paused."Do you hear me?" "How can I not hear you?" Cheetah said.He smirked in the shadows."I am only seven feet away from you." Frank swallowed, hard.Sweat ran down the sides of his face.He hated dark alleys. "No back up, eh?"Cheetah asked. His voice was calm and steady."They don't like you very much." "They like you less, Argento," Frank replied.
Alice Miller is the author of SILVER HAWK WARRIOR SERIES (Vol. 1-9), Everything He Wanted Uninhibited and Jessie Grace. She's very excited about her newest series Steel City Shadows.
Alice lives at the foothills of the Laurel Highland Mountains in Pennsylvania, U.S.A. She is of Shawnee, Chippewa, Swiss and Swedish heritage. She's worked in a juvenile detention center and various group homes helping youth at risk who had drug, alcohol, legal and family problems. Her passion is writing but she also loves music, art, theater and dance.
It's time for me to submit my review of SILVER HAWK A Warrior's Honor (Volume 2).. My daughters and I have been reading this book over and over word for word! even reading it out loud at night while laying in bed! There is no way of ever getting tired of reading the SILVER HAWK books......and it has been both humbling and captivating to read of Joseph Argent's journey in this book for it pulls at your heart strings to see someone suffer so much in name of love for family. Just how much can one person take?? As much as is needed to protect family and keep them safe. In this volume, Joseph Argent is taken to the Pine Ridge Reservation for Attempted Murder charges and relives the whispers and curiousities of the Lakota Nation's prophecy that he is an Old Warrior from the days of Crazy Horse, reborn to bring Hope and Healing to the waning spirits of our Nation. He is reunited with his Lakota family, Grandfather, Father, Aunts, Uncles and his identical twin brother Lone Wolf. Emotions run high and bring out Lakota humor when dealing with good and bad emotions. This book will make you smile, laugh, cry, angry, sad, and will always give you HOPE and STRENGTH to find the will to live and never, never, never give up HOPE!

My friend Alice let me have the honor of reading this book on my computer and I can honestly say that I enjoyed every moment of this story. Joseph is struggling to live in New York trying to keep out of trouble and trying to keep up with all of his surroundings. Then his mother gets sick and he has no job for her medical bills so he is approached by Don Antone to do street fighting and he promises to take care of Josephs mother. So Joseph is pushed into a world of abuse, drugs, alcohol and at the same time he is losing himself.
This book will touch you and make you laugh all at the same time. When I read it I felt as if I was next to him watching everything he is going through and not many authors or stories I have read have done that. You should give Silver Hawk A Warriors Spirit and Silver Hawk A Warriors Honor a chance. You will not be disappointed.
I purchased the first volume of Alice Miller's works, and looked forward to volume 2. I was not disappointed. The second volume differs from the first, in that it is written in current time frame. Volume 1 was a rich, poignant stroll back into history that depicted the struggle of early Native Americans so well, I felt as if I was standing on a hill, watching each scene unfold. This book brought me into the inner city with the same effect: I was there. Alice will be one of those authors that whatever she writes, I shall eventually purchase. Another good investment of time to read, and money to buy.

Just started reading last night and the only reason I stopped on page 85 is that I HAD to get to bed for work in the morning! It was so hard NOT to pick it back up this morning...I'd would have been late for work!!
Even after only 85 pages, I am so much "into" this book, I don't want to stop reading. I have the next two volumes in my "shopping cart" ready to order!!!!
There is so much detail in this book, as with the first one, that you actually feel like you are THERE with the characters!!!
