My husband and I just got our iPhones, and we poured over hundreds of listings here on amazon for protective cases (having colorful cases was important to us, so that we can easily tell our phones apart). My husband liked the way these looked, but I was just "eh" about them...I ordered 3 cases for myself, including this one. This one was the first to arrive, and now I don't think I want the others at all! I got the pink one, and it is a really pretty matte sort of metallic fuschia color. Much more vibrant than it looks in the picture. Hubby chose the purple, which looks lavender on my screen, but is a very nice metallicky purple in real life (not royal purple, but not a girly lavender, either). They fit the phones great without adding bulk, and make the phone feel a lot less slppery to me, so I feel more secure carrying it around. Don't like that the screen protectors adhere to the screen, so we won't be using those. I did find that it takes some finesse to get the case off once you put it on, but I don't plan on taking my case off unless I want to replace it entirely. Great case overall.

So, I bought 2 of these covers, the black curvy cover snaps onto the colored cover (in my case yellow). But the black cover broke in the same spot twice!
Its not a manufacturing defect, its just poor design. I wish I could get a refund. The cover snaps when you plug your charger in.
I would think twice before buying this

Bought two of these a few months back and noticed almost immediately the satin clear rubbery finish they apply to the color and black parts begins to peal off. It is not durable at all and this type of process used to make the surface feel rubbery will not hold up under normal conditions. In addition to this and a few others have noted the same thing, the black part will just break right in the middle. The first one broke after removing it a number of time to be docked into a stereo so I thought I miss handle it, however, the second one I was much more careful and it broke almost immediately. It is just a very weak design you have to remove it to dock it, it can not handle the constant on and off.

Overall it not worth the purchase, it does look nice when you first get it but is will not hold up to daily wear and tear. I also do not like product which you can not return if you have a problems, but for $8 it is a live and learn lesson.

The case itself is really great. The purple is darker than it appears on screen and it was very easy to put together. So far it has withstood several bumps and bangs, and the general abyss of my large purse.
The screen protector that it comes with, however, is so reflective that it actually doubles as a mirror when the iPhone is off. It is difficult to see images and apps in bright light because you can't see past your own reflection.
My suggestion is to get the case, but discard the screen protector.

I was a bit skeptical about ordering this case given the face that it was inexpensive. Cheap price doesn't always make cheap quality - it's fantastic. The case has a good, snug fit around my phone so I'm not worried about it shifting around and scratching the phone itself. The cutouts for the buttons are in the right places (contrary to what I've found with other cases where they're off by a bit). It's raised just enough around the screen so when I lay it face down the screen isn't touching the table either. The fact that the seller gives a screen protector is just a bonus! A steady hand in putting it on and you're all set to go. An excellent buy.

I earlier rated this item a 5 star but I must now retract that rating - I'm going to give it a 3 star overall. I've now had this case for a month and half and just like another reviewer had the same problem, the bottom half of the case just snapped for no reason. Seeing as I've not dropped it at all since I put it on it shouldn't have broken in my opinion. Also, within a week of having it on my phone the black part promptly turned brown for some reason.

The most bothersome part is now I've got 4 relatively noticeable scratches on the bottom half of my phone now, these are from where the black part rubs against the curve of the phone. Unfortunately this is the whole reason that I purchased the case for - spend 300 bucks on a phone and try to protect it.

So given all this information I'll bring it down a bit, for a couple of bucks I got about 6 weeks of use out of it. A buck a week - guess it's not too bad.

This is the best iphone case! Nice looking, protects the phone and is less than $20.00, what more can you ask for.

Have owned many phone cases (from Otterboxes to gels) and this one has proven to be the best solution for me.

I gave up on having a belt clip style system, since the Otterbox never stayed in it's holder and made use of the edge of the screen near impossible, and the Seidio case had clips that broke within 2 weeks.

I like the full enclosure style because they didn't need a screen protector...but I've given up on any of those choices because they make use of your phone cumbersome.

I haven't had much luck with other styles of slip on cases, since they are either so grippy they collect lint from a pocket or they are so slick they slip from your hands and crash. This one has the balance I was looking for. It has just enough grip to help you hold it, but slick enough to forego the lint collection.

Using an inexpensive screen protector (5-Pack Premium Reusable LCD Screen Protector with Lint Cleaning Cloth for Apple iPhone 3G 8GB 16GB [Accessory Export Packaging]) combined with this case gave me the combination I needed.

Pros:
-Inexpensive
-Wide Color Selection
-Easy to install/maintain

Cons:
-The finish of the black bracket rubs off from wear, but isn't that unsightly.
-The bracket/case is somewhat tight and therefore takes some strength to pry off to remove case.

All in all, the combination of this sub $5 case and .63 for 5 protectors beats a $20 case combo anyday.

The color and the tight fit are great. It is exactly as advertised. The rubberized grip is perfect. Very Satisfied with the product.

I am so bummed. I love the design -- at least, the look and feel -- of this case. It is far and away the best-looking iPhone case I've found. BUT, after just a few weeks of owning this case, I noticed that the matte coating that gives it that soft, rubbery feel had begun to peel around the edges. I was disappointed, but accepted this. Then, yesterday I picked up my case and discovered that the black part of the case had cracked completely. Broken.

Mind you, I baby my iPhone. It rarely rides in my pocket, and since I work from home, it's most often simply laying on my counter or desk. It hasn't been dropped, and there is absolutely no reason why this case shouldn't hold up to this ultra-lightweight use.

My problem now is that I love the look of this case so much, I'm debating whether or not it's worth spending the $8 every two months or not. Unless you have a line item in your budget for replacing your iPhone case every other month, I'd recommend you steer clear of this case. Sad.

...then it breaks. So I gave it a star for each week it lasted. The bottom of the black backing that keeps all the pieces together broke, so it is no longer secured around the phone. Also, putting it on scratched my phone. You can see the creases where it was put together, which makes it look very cheap and poorly made. One pro: The color was nice shade of purple.
