This book on Theravada Buddhism was obviously written by remnant hippies from the 1960's. Anything stated within it can be gleaned from a hundred other sources on the subject matter which is probably what they did, and then decided to market it at the outrageous price of $37 in order to support whatever lifestyle they might have. The marketing blurb for the book is probably worth more than the book itself which should retail for around $8.
Here are the names of three other texts on Theravada Buddhism which are worth every cent of their purchase price, and each of which are priced well below $25.
"What the Buddha Taught" by Walpola Rahula.
"Theravada Buddhism" by Richard Gombrich.
"Love and Sympathy in Theravada Buddhism" by Harvey B. Aronson.
Incidentally, the Aronson text retails for $12.
