Okay, this set used to be an awesome deal. However, amazon droped the price of the original individual boxsets and forgot to adjust this price as well. Here are the prices:

Season 1 19.97
Season 2 24.97
Season 3 24.97
Season 4 24.97
Season 5 26.67

Total 121.85

This is a difference of 20.30. So right now, it is better to get each box set on it's own. Hopefully amazon will correct this and price these sets around a 100 bucks. That would be tasty.

Edit: Apparently Amazon saw thier mistake and rather than lowering this price, they uped the price of all of the other seasons back up to where they were. Poor show amazon. Very poor show.

the first five seasons of the simpsons is nothing short of a complete set of classics, these are all necessities! Unlike Pierre says these are not crap, these are best DVD's Money can buyTHey are worth the money so please Consider Buying.

First this was an awesome buy it saved me money from buying each season separately. Secondly, if you are like me and don't know what to get your boyfriend/husband for his birthday, for christmas, etc. this is a great gift. What guy doesn't find the Simpsons hilarious?! My boyfriend loved his birthday gift and was completely amazed I knew what to get him for his birthday.

you know how you are. what's maggies middle name. how many eyes did the radioactive fish have. whats your favourite halloween episode.

the past couple of seasons have stunk, imho. the first 5 are the best. when homer was mean and the drawing stunk.

This has to be the greatest collection of DvD's ever. I must say this exceeded my expectations. The first 8 were the best seasons and now you can own 1-5 together. I suggest you buy this package at Costco where it is only $75.00 (yes $75.00). Buy this now!!!!

I bought this at Costco for $75. Obviously this is an awesome set of DVDs, and if you're looking at this review, then you already know what you're looking at. It's the first 5 seasons of Simpsons. $142 is a great price, but I wanted others to know that I found it at Costco for $75, so shop there first if you have the chance.

Haven't gotten your hands on the Simpsons DVDs yet but always wanted to? Well, here's your chance. You get the first five seasons of the show, that's over 100 episodes, on nineteen discs, and you save more than 50 bucks. Now if that's not a bargain, I don't know what is. Relive the classic shows that the Simpsons were founded on, such as Homer's barbershop quartet, Sideshow Bob's rendition of the H.M.S. Pinafore, Lisa's first word, the Land of Chocolate, Homer's run-in with a poison blowfish, and the very first Xmas episode, where Homer (barely) saves Xmas. This is the perfect gift for any Simpsons fan who doesn't have the DVDs already.

bought it for my wife as a present. she loves it very much. it is a kind of carton for adults :)

That's an excellent package. Very cheap to buy the 5 season on Amazon instead of purchasing in a normal store in Switzerland....

Everything is brilliant, except the first season was a little bit crashed when I received the package, but that doesn't matter, it's so excellent!!!!
