I learned to sew almost 40 years ago at the age of 7. I asked my parents when I was in third grade for my own sewing machine for Christmas. I think the one like this cost them about $75.00 Which was A LOT of money in the 1970's. I carried that machine to college and a military base, and when I could NO longer find anyone competent enough to keep the machine running sold it to a collector for around $50.00
This is machine is the Machine I would recommend to have ANYONE sewing on. Bring back these and people would sew ALL the time again. And enjoy sewing. You could fix it your self for something minor. Mine was major. Someone who was suppose to know what they were doing messed it up.
