This is the best one yet. It stays down flat when water is running over it. It doesn't float away like others that I have purchased. Love it.

Who knew that finding a drain stopper that was both flexible and that would stay in place would be so difficult? It was until we got this one. It is nice and flexible and thick enough so that it will stay in place when the tub/sink is filling. Save your time and get this one - it really works well.

My grandparents always had one of these flat rubber drain stoppers and I thought they would be great for my parents, who are in their seventies and suffer with arthritis and Parkinson's. I bought several at various hardware stores and they were all cheap and lousy at doing the job they were designed to do. I went online and was very leary of purchasing a product I could not actually see and feel, but this little disc is a dilly. It works just beautifully and my parents love it.

Absolutely does the trick...where other stoppers have shifted or floated away - this stays put. Left the sink full of soapy water overnight and the water-level was exactly the same in the morning! Finally!! Can't recommend enough.

When I opened up the package - I thought to myself - shucks, I purchased the wrong damn thing. BUT NOPE! I placed this over my bathroom drain, filled the tub and left the water standing over night ------- the tub was still full in the morning -- not a drop missing!
A 5 star review for a bathroom drain plug - who thought I would take the time to write one? Not me - but it really does a fantastic job-- I just had to express my two cents.

Why would I want a drain stopper in a shower pan? I want to fill the pan with a 1/2 inch of water to which I then add a small amount of bleach. This allows me to disinfect the shower pan overnight and let the bleach sit and act upon tough stains - all without me scrubbing. When I first tried it, the water stayed in the pan for a short time (under 30 minutes) but eventually drained out, likely due to a slight unevenness around my shower drain. So I just applied a small bead of vaseline in a continuous/unbroken circle around the drain (still on the metal drain, not on the fiberglass pan) and then applied the drain stopper over it. 36 hours later the water level is unchanged! There is no photo of the backside of the stopper, so I will point out that it is completely flat. I also intend to use it in the shower pan for when I want a low but very wide level of soapy water to scrub oddly shaped items such as the removable shelves in the oven. I find this stopper to be very useful indeed!

I bought this because the built-in drain on my tub didn't seem to be sealing. I could hear water going down the drain. This solved the problem.

I leave the drain in the open position so that the suction of the drain will allow the stopper to seal tightly. It's large enough in diameter than it generously fits my standard drain cover that's probably about 3 inches in diameter.

this thing works great! it is weighted so that it is not displaced by the force of water when filling the tub!... very pleasantly surprised by how well a cheap little thing can do the job..... sorry expensive plumber....not going to even bother to pay you to fix the corroded valve when this lil" thing forms a perfect seal.... no leak at all.....
