There are many Aboriginal stories about Transformation - stories danced at potlatches and passed down through generations, which still resonate today. Their themes continue speaking to the souls of contemporary Aboriginal people, but also to a wider audience. In this extraordinary book, a new generation of Aboriginal artists has created a stunning celebration of visual art - works that are transformative and portray a rich and flourishing culture, each in a unique and powerful way.

This review is from: O SIYAM: Aboriginal Art Inspired by the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games/O Siyam: L'art autochtone inspiré par les jeux olympiques et paralympiques d'hiver de 2010 (English and French Edition) (Paperback)
This a very handsome presentation of the Aboriginal Art displayed at the 2010 Winter Olympics. The photos of the Art Work are excellent. I have some of Alan Syliboy's Art Work---he did 8 panels for the figure skating practice venue---there is also information on the artists and abit of the history of Canada's First Nations. It is a Book worth buying and having for the history of the 2010 Winter Olympics. Very attractive.
