This 650 Piece Senior Mechanics Tool Set is the one of the largest sets available from SK. It features chrome sockets in 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" Drive; impact sockets in 3/8" and 1/2" Drive; short, standard and long pattern SuperKrome® combination wrenches; flare nut, crowfoot flare nut and adjustable wrenches; screwdrivers, nut drivers, hex and torx keys; plus a variety of pliers, hammers, punches, chisels, pry bars, files and scrapers. The set comes with SK's Mobile Work Station No. 86075, a 12 drawer heavy-duty tool cabinet on 5" x 2" casters, and No. 86076 Top Chest, a ten drawer heavy-duty top chest which, like No. 86075, employs full roller bearing slide drawers for smooth action and a power coated finish for superior scratch and chemical resistance.

The set comes with SK's Mobile Work Station No. 86075, a 12 drawer heavy-duty tool cabinet on 5" x 2" casters, and No. 86076 Top Chest, a ten drawer heavy-duty top chest which, like No. 86075, employs full roller bearing slide drawers for smooth action and a power coated finish for superior scratch and chemical resistance.

The set is also available without the Mobile Work Station as part number 86650A-1 (650 piece tools only set).

This is an excellent starting kit for someone wanting to do mechanical work but starting from nothing. SK tools are generally considered to be a couple of steps up in terms of quality from the Sears / Home Depot / Lowes box store brands, and light years ahead of the cheap Chinese specials. In many instances S-K tools compare very favorably to the top truck brands like Snap-On, Matco, Cornwell, or Mac Tools. For example I have sockets from ALL of these brands - and honestly - I prefer my S-K sockets overall. I can not say every SK tool I have picked up is my personal favorite when compared to every other brand - but - I CAN say that every S-K tool I have picked up compares quite favorably in terms of quality, construction, fit and finish to any other brand. These are tools meant to last a lifetime and provide service for years and years. If you are just starting out - this is a good place to begin.
