**NOTE: Game has a major save error issue meaning some people can not and will not be able to save games. Just type in the player name ".meet6" without the quotes and you will unlock everything in the game.**

Shame that it has this bug on the PS2 meaning winning the game without the cheat is not possible for most.Bah.

If you ever watched the videos of Ghost Rider the infamous Euro biker who does 300KM speeds through town, then you may want to play something close to that, in which case SK is what you need. To be honest you are much better off playing MOTO GP on the PC or GP3 on the PS2 for a real bike sim, but for off road arcade then SK is really enjoyable... if you like bikes.

The graphics are little better than Nintendo 64 quality, but the crash physics are up there with Burnout 2, but not Burnout 3. The whole point to the game though is traffic weaving and if that is what you want then SK scores in aces. You can also do ramps, skids, stunts on the bike, boost and even surf your bike under a lorry. You play up against 5 other bikers over 14 big circuits and the rush of superbiking through the streets is all there. If that is what you want then SK is what you need. If you are not into bikes that much then drop it for a car game with better graphics but to be honest if you want to ride then do it on a superbike.

The next generation game producers who can make a game like the Ghost Rider videos should really win the bucks from the consumer if they can make something like that. Please do if you can.

If you're a fan of the Burnout video game series, you'll instantly understand the comparison--Perform sick jumps and high speed maneuvers with top end vehicles. This time, you take to motorcycles. All in all, this is indeed an awesome game that deserves credit in its own right, not just as a Burnout rip.

Compete with several no-name motorcycles--Pick out your outfit, helmet, and bike color, and compete against the computer or a friend. you can unlock courses and complete meets in 2 player mode, but can only earn "respect" points by performing certain stunts and tasks on certain stages. Respect points will unlock various things as well--modes, outfits, and more bikes. These tasks vary from simple (Do a boost start) to very difficult (Don't crash through the entire course).

The gameplay on this is fun, especially against a human opponent. Head to head is high action, and the crashes can be hilarious. Definitely "don't try this at home" material.

The music could use some work. A lot of the soundtrack sounds more like what you'd hear listening to AM radio while driving at 30 M.P.H., not jumping ramps and sliding around corners at 170.

The graphics are pretty good, but nothing eye opening. The "Boost" option in this game, called "Powerband," is accompanied by a really trippy Hyperspace sort of effect.

The gameplay is fun. Arcade style controls as high speeds with rather simple button combinations (The "trick" button plus one or two others usually suffices for most tricks) for tricks that help increase your powerband. Killer jumps, drifting, and tapping cars without wiping out (called a "ding") will up your powerband and may spell the difference between coming in first--Or coming up short.

The game is not without flaws. First, it's hard to describe the hit detection in this game. It's inconsistant to say the least. Sometimes, it's too sensitive--It's possible to crash brushing a car when you'r just starting back up after a crash. Others, it's not very sensitive at all. It's possible to fly through a pole one time, and wipe on another you don't think twice about. Sometimes, you'll score a ding for a major hit (Like blindsiding an 18 wheeler), but wipe out over a bump. And I'd be amiss if I didn't point out that you can get "glitched" into going the wrong way and losing heavy time based upon hitting certain guardwalls wrong.

All in all, it's still worth it. Just don't plan on making most of your powerband by dinging, and be ready for the occasional buggy result. This game is massive fun, but will sometimes leave you screaming at your console.

Personally, I'd like to see more options in the vehicle and driver departments. More control in how you and your bike look, and even a customize option for your bike would be a must for a sequel, and perhaps a slower curve on the "respect" tricks. If the hit detection and music were fixed, and these additions were made, a sequel to this game would be killer! (Think Burnout 2 compared to Burnout).

I've also heard rumour of save error issues, but have not experienced it, and cannot comment upon it.

My 7 yo rented this game from the movie gallery once, so that is what prompted me to buy it. Imo, this game is perfect for a child. The crashes are pretty cool for a kid, but the bodies are not mangled or bloody, they just get back on that bike. This was the first game my son played in which he had to learn to use more of the controller for stunts. I think it was a good one to start off with.

This game saves just fine for me, I don't know what those other folks are talking about! On the other hand, however, the game is really just so-so and it gets repetitive real fast. So, if you're a really big fan of superbikes and really liked Burnout, give it a try, but otherwise, well, it's just OK.

I really wish I had read these reviews before I purchased this game. Lesson learned the hard way. This game WILL NOT SAVE. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

After you complete a couple of levels you may come across a saving error. When you save onto your memory card and shut your PS2 system down the game may not have saved. The next time you play the game you may start off where you started the last time you started playing the game.

This is a very very good Playstation 2 game. It is great arcade style and performance. Graphics and frame rate are first rate. Only complaint would be that it is sometimes difficult to keep going in the game because most routes are based on time (don't be slow). But, of the seven games i was playing on this system this was by far my favorite. Ride on and frequently!
