Using this for a Fire-wire hard drive, Audio Interface and Headphone amp. Rack is still deep enough I was able to Velcro down a Monster power strip / surge suppressor, and the power bricks for my recording gear.I still have one space left so I am Planning on adding an 8 channel ADAT preamp soon so I will have 16 channels of input, a hard drive and monitoring in a light weight package. Seems to offer good enough protection for trips in the back seat of my car to but not really meant for the back of a truck or airline transit as checked luggage but I know that when I bought it. I also considered the one that has the rack spaces and a laptop case built in but it is way expensive for what it is, and I wasn't to comfortable with the Idea of packing around my Mac Book Pro in the thing. One really nice thing it comes with clips and screws.

Perfect size, excellent quality, convenient handle, rubber feet on bottom and one side. If you have a guitar amp head and want to be able to tote around some effects rack units with it, this is the product for you. Fits perfectly on top of a head. Recessed "x" on top and bottom leave the perfect amount of space underneath rack to allow the amps handle clearance without pushing the rack sideways. Very light and easy to move. Only complaint: rear access panel needs to be larger to allow easier access to top and bottom rack units. The product was purchase to be used to sit attop a Mesa Mark V head and house the following: power conditioner, tc electronics g-system, t.c. G-major, line 6 g90 wireless relay. Nova drive and other pedals do not fit into the back space as planned but they do sit on top just fine.

I find this case online when I was looking for a light, sturdy, attractive, portable and affordable rack case. I needed it for some of my gear I use with electric violin (specifically power supply, effect processor, wireless receiver and Cd player). Squeezing those components in this rack system was easier then squeezing a mosquito in the frog's mouth. There is still enough room in the back to store batteries, spare cables, spare weed, fake tips, etc. The case is excellent quality, comes with installing hardware and extremely light compared to any other rack system including my other SKB. The front cover is the same as on other SKB-s, the simplified back cover allows quick and convenient access for inside arrangements. The whole package sits securely and looks great on the top of my Laney amp. Ergonomic one side handle makes carrying as easy as a suitcase. If your gear isn't deeper than that size of this case, I believe this is the best available option for easy, safe storage and transportation of a small rack gear. Just perfect for me, I'd recommend for musicians without roadies.

SKB has long been my go-to rack of choice for equipment that I need to travel with. They have a lifetime guarantee which gives me peace of mind. I'm a bass player and put my GK head and power conditioner in this 4 space rack.

It's a light weight rack which is nice because it doesn't add a lot of bulk, yet keeps my gear protected. I was a little worried at first because of the shallow depth and because the rack ears on my GK has handles that protrude out. I wasn't sure if the front door was going to close. I simply had to maneuver the door a little to get past the handles and all was fine. I was also able to keep my chords tucked away in the back without any problems.

I did have to work the speaker cable into the back of my GK head because of the plastic on the back. It is a shallow rack after all. Once in though all was fine, it works great. It doesn't pinch the cord in anyway. I probably have about an inch and a half between the back of my head and the back of the rack.

The handle on the side is really nice for carrying in one hand as well. It makes for less trips to the car to unload and load up my gear. It had been awhile since I bought an SKB case and I wasn't sure if the screws came with it or not, so I bought some. Turns out the case comes with all the screws you need. So now I've got a lot of extra rack screws, oh well, better safe than sorry.

If you're looking for a moderately-priced product of this sort, this is one to consider. The build quailty is very high and it does what it's supposed to do!
