Being a retired military person who spent nearly 32 years around weapons, I confess I'm almost overly zealous about making sure a weapon is functional, properly cleaned and appropriately protected. The Dry-Tek 15" solved a problem I was having insofar as storing and protecting a Taurus Judge while still having it reasonably accessible. When zipped closed, this bag gives you the option of using a padlock to ensure untrained, but curious visitors cannot access the weapon. Life is good.

I originally sought out a rug for a gun that I have owned for years, but never had a case for. It's a S&W Model 28 (with a 6" barrel and western grips), so it's particularly long. I just wanted to store the weapon, so I first got the cheapest thing I could find on Amazon that had the specs. Well, it turns out that it didn't have the specs after all, because it was grossly undersized. So, in aggravation, I purchased this rug which was over twice as expensive, and I am glad I did. This rug is spacious, but not too large. There are two zippered pockets on the sides, and the mesh liner has an expensive look that will undoubtedly outlast the cheap foam of my previous choice.Four stars because the giant patch on the side with the company logo is ugly and looks like a poorly done monogram. Could have been a nice, sleek design otherwise. |
