SKB Mini Gig Rig with Velcro Pop-Up Rack

I had wanted a mixer box that would pop open, have all the interconnecting cables already attached, and be set to go. This rig can do that. But it is big, it is bulky, and it is not light. I sent it back. And decided to live with the rack that I have, which is not a pop up, but has the same 8 spaces the mini gig rig does. It ain't perfect but it is better, for me at least, than the mini gig rig which was too big/bulky/heavy. I have a joke about being a musician: "forget the groupies! give me the roadies!" and as a solo musician I would want a roadie if I were to be using the mini-gig rig. (I think the word "mini" may have lured me into believing it was something other than it actually is).

This relatively light weight, compact unit is a lot of "Bang for the Buck". It was a prefect fit in a nice compact package for my digital mixer and power conditioning equipment for my PA Systems. After receiving it, I had my equipment mounted and ready to use in 10 minutes. I highly recommend this product.

Exactly what I had hoped it would be. The shipping weight listed caused some concern as it appeared to be heavier than I wanted. The listed weight was wrong, most likely because it is rather bulky, as shipped, and the rates must be set by weight not size. Going to its first gig this weekend should make set-up much more efficient.
