If you own a Baby Taylor guitar or a Alvarez MSD1 like I do, then you must realize how difficult it is to find a hard shell case for your guitar. This SKB case is superb and very difficult to find. This guitar case is not a card board case. If you value your guitars then this a requirement for you to have. This my second SKB case. I purchased an SBK case for my 3/4 folk guitar. This case is also difficult to find. You will not be disappointed in either of these cases if you can find one to buy. The amazon merchant I bought this from was great and notified me of every step of the process. I had the case within seven days. Great case and great merchant.

This case fits my Baby Taylor perfectly. After getting this, I'm ashamed of myself for carrying it around in a gig bag for 10 years. I should have bought one of these long ago.

It's super high quality and looks really nice. If you have a Baby Taylor, you need one of these. It's really that simple.

Stuck out of town on a long trip for work, I indulged myself and bought a Baby Taylor. But Guitar Megastore didn't have a hardshell case, and I was doubtful about trying to get it home as carry-on. But Amazon's 1-day shipping (since I'm a Prime member, it was only 3.99) came to the rescue. As for the case, it's great -- tight fit and extremely sturdy. I trust this one more than the hardshell case that came with my Martin. Slackened the strings, got the airline counter person to slap a couple of "Fragile" stickers on it, then held my breath. When I got home, it looked like it hadn't been touched, and everything was perfect. Now I want to see what SKB cases might be available for my other guitars.

If you fly this will be good for your baby taylor, those Gorillas at baggage might scratch the out side but baby stays safe and sound.

I ordered this on Tuesday and received it yesterday (Thursday) right on schedule. I think it's a fantastic case - substantial, well-made, a great cozy fit for my Baby Taylor. I haven't had the occasion to travel with it yet, but I imagine it will perform admirably. I intended to post a review last night, but was a bit put off when I saw that while I had paid 89.99 on Tuesday, the Thursday price was 59.50. I thought about this for a while, and decided to still give it five stars because now it was an *even better deal* than it had been earlier in the week (although I was annoyed to find the price now 34% lower). Now (the next morning) the price is 76.44. Go figure. Anyway, I think it's terrific.

I own an Ibanez Daytripper, a very nice guitar in the "3/4" or "traveling" guitar size, and almost exactly the same size as the Baby Taylor or the Martin LX. My Daytripper came with only a padded gig bag, and I wanted something more substantial to prevent damage during storage and transport. The SKB delivers protection in abundance. Constructed of a firm polycarbonate shell, filled with expanded foam (such as used in bicycle helmets), and lined with soft plush "teddy bear fur", the 1SKB-300 promises to extend the life of it's contents many times over. The top and bottom halves have a sturdy aluminum band running around the edge, and these bands have a "tongue and groove" profile which locks together when the case closes, further enhancing rigidity.
Three sturdy, locking metal latches make sure the case stays closed when carrying, and a small lined compartment inside allows carrying picks, tuning devices, and/or straps safely without them touching the guitar and possibly damaging it's finish. There are also some thoughtful details such as molded in "bumpers" to protect one of the latches on the lower portion of the case, and "feet" upon which the case can rest when opened. Latches, hinges and a sturdy, comfortable handle are all riveted on nicely.
There aren't a lot of hard shell case options for 3/4 size guitars, and most of what is available doesn't seem to provide the protection of this case. I went to a major, nationwide guitar store which had many, many cases in stock, but they had nothing in 3/4 size. I saw this on Amazon, and researched the dimensions of the Baby Taylor and Martin LX to determine if the case would also work for my Daytripper. As it turns out, the fit is perfect, and SKB should advertise this case as also fitting the Daytripper. Of the available options, this seems like the sturdiest.

Such a good case and fits the martin LX1e perfectly. Seems to be very strong and would withstand a good beating. Recommend this to every baby taylor/little martin owner that wants to travel their guitar round!

I Received the case in a timely manner, case is great Both guitars fit snully into the case. I have a Baby Tayor as well as a Martin LX. This case will serve me well when I need to take one of them with me, The soft cases are OK but not as good as a Hard Shell Cases. Don't be afraid to buy this case.

I just got this case... but I have another one of the same brand. This is a good hard guitar case. Price is ok... but I wanted one to store my guitar in when not using .. or if I transport this on an airplane. It comes with a key if you need to lock it up... The quality of the case is great.. nice and strong for a hard case. My small Baby Taylor BT2, which is a 3/4 guitar, fits in here perfectly.... would recommend this case to anyone looking for a small guitar case ..

We bought this to protect our daughter's new guitar and it has done the job well! I highly recommend this case.
