If that describes you and you are wanting a gimmicky type thing to get to those sore spots from too much workout, then I guess you could do worse.

I really like this massage stick. It's a great supplement to a foam roller, or it's a great massager to use as an introductory massager. You can get a lot of pressure from this device, too, if you need an high pressure massage.

There are two types of balls on this stick. There are two big black squishy balls, and four smaller yellow balls that are hard. It's easy to reconfigure these balls into any configuration that you want.

The nylon handles are awesome, too. They're easy to grip and felt nice on my hands. Using these handles, I was able to easily adjust the pressure, so I got just the right amount of pressure.

Pros:
+Has high quality straps
+Adjustable
+Gives a lot of control over how heavy or light you want the pressure
+Gives a great massage
+Very sturdy

Cons:
-Won't take care of all of your massage needs

The AccuRoller is useful for helping to work out muscle soreness and tightness. As a strength athlete, I find that using this - in conjunction with a foam roller and lacrosse ball -- helps alleviate and break-up problem areas (particularly calves, glutes, quads, hip flexors). I keep it in my gym back, along with my TriggerPoint GRID foam roller, and find all my needs are essentially met.

The design lets you use it like a rolling pin on trouble spots, so you can variate pressure and how much time you spend in each area. As a stand-alone product, it's all right, but it's most useful as one tool of many in an arsenal for injury prevention, flexibility maintenance, and general caretaking.

The SKLZ AccuRoller Adjustable Massage Stick is a durable message stick designed to assist in working your leg and back muscles. It is comprised of hard plastic balls that you can arrange on the plastic stick in whatever way you need. Each end of this message stick has a loop that allows you to stretch.

As far as mechanics, this is a durable exercise accessory. The balls are easy to adjust and when set, they stay where they should be! The stretch fabric loops give just the right amount of give for a good stretch. I personally think this is best used on the leg muscles. I noticed during my uses that it does help loosen tightness in that area. I also quite like the loops. It makes it easy to do a good stretch.

Overall, this is something that you'll really have to test for yourself. I think it comes in handy for minimal muscle massages.

One of the most versatile devices I have for working the fascia. My only complaint would be that it feels a little on the chinsey side.

Even though this won't hit everything, it's a good addition to your mobility toolbox. Putting it on a "stick" makes it useful. I like to kneel down and work the back of my calves. Moving the two larger balls together, I will work my thoracic mobility by rocking on it.

It's also good for working the triceps, biceps, forearms, and neck.

I feel like I'm going to break the plastic stick if I crank down on my thigh hard enough to work it deeply. For that, i use the Super Nova by Rouge Fitness. That thing shreds your large muscles, but definitely for advanced users.

This gets a lot of use, and fills some holes I had.

I have started using this product to help alleviate DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) after weight training. This, along with my foam roller and a lacrosse ball are great, simple tools to help work out my Myofascial stiffness and tightness.

The SKLZ AccuRoller Adjustable Massage Stick is a welcome addition to any athlete's toolkit. The massage stick can be configured into several different configurations depending on the rehab the individual wants to do. The massage stick comes with a visual help guide to configuring the balls and sticks for the rehab exercise.

This massage stick is good for the average person as well. I went for a hike the previous day and used this massage stick to rub down my quads and calves. This massage stick is akin to receiving a deep tissue massage, except you don't have to pay someone else to do it. After using the stick, I felt a noticeable difference in my legs and the amount of lactic acid that was no longer present.

The massage stick is a simple way to rehab your tired muscles after your activity of choice.

I'm still not sure I am a fan of this SKLZ AccuRoller SKLZ AccuRoller - Adjustable Massage Stick. Here's what you've got. There are 4 small plastic balls and 2 large plastic balls strung on cord, with a length of webbing attached to each end as handles. One end screws off, so you can change the arrangement of the plastic balls (it does make a difference). You can hold the webbing and massage your muscles, or you can lay the roller on the floor and move over it. This is especially effective for massaging a tight iliotibial (IT) band and your gastrocnemius muscles in your calves. It was less impressive on the back; the rigidity of the balls actually made the procedure painful at times. There are some things that our hands are much more effective at doing!

So would this replace a good foam roller? No. If you had to pick a foam roller or this AccuRoller, I'd pick the foam roller every time. However, you have to find what works for you. For example, if you have IT issues and a foam roller doesn't give you relief, this might be the ticket. I did find that self-massage with this unit was better than another person applying it, since it was easy to push or roll it too hard. The web handles make it easy to use, and the ability to move the balls around to fit your needs is a plus.
