SKLZ Pro Mini Basketball XL Hoop

My ten year old loves this basketball hoop. He plays everyday and for at least an hour. He plays while doing just about anything he can do at the same time. He dunks, he dribbles, he shoots, he scores. This is his second one, the first one was not the XL. He and his friends dunked a few too many times and the backboard broke. Believe me that it got a lot of abuse and I got my money's worth

My 6-year-old grandson received this for Christmas 2010, and he has played with it every single day. (We have it in our kitchen.) He has used this more than his X-Box. This basketball set is very well made and easy to move since it also slips over the top of most any door. I am very pleased, especially since my grandson loves it so much. The adults love it as well!

My 13 year old son beats the heck out of any basketball backboard we have ever had--pretty much destroying each one within a few days. This one looks good (thick plastic backboard and metal hoop), is well cushioned on the back so it's not scratching the door and the spring-loaded hoop gives it flex and durability. Now I just have to listed to the constant thudding as he pounds in shot after shot!

i live in a small apartment with a door in the kitchen that reveals a washer and dryer. after placing the sklz hoop on that door which is in the kitchen, i now have a witty line whenever my friends come over, heres an example.. "Who wants to take shots in the kitchen?" no longer is this reserved just for drinking, we can now get our (mini) game on, in the kitchen. i must admit it was funny the first couple of times and it kinda lost its luster, however it is fun to have around. small enough to place just about anywhere, games of horse have never been more entertaining. as a college student, its nice to spend free time with friends, not only on xbox live, but in person as well, so when they come over, and they see a legit looking hoop thats actually sturdy, and not a cardboard backboard and a plastic rim, they are more than down to play. ive been wanting one of these with a metal rim for years, not a company saw fit to produce such a thing. Overall, very satisfied, even bought another for my brother who is stationed in ny (army), he says that every now and then they are snowed in, i think this will keep his spirits up while hes miles away from home (which is az).

oh, and the ball it comes with is also really nice, however because its much like a real basketball, it has some weight, only problem i have is that i live on the second story of my complex.. people below me may not want to hear the constant banging of that ball hitting the floor. i did however find other foam balls and rubber air filled basketballs that are light and hardly make noise when thrown around.

We have owned many basketball goals that hang over the top of a door and this one is by far the most durable. It can take a dunk with no problem. My boys love it.

My son received this hoop for his 9th birthday, and has loved it. It is very sturdy and durable. No cheap plastic junk here.

Although this product looks good on the outside, it is very flimsy upon ball bounce and the backboard is too bendy for a good bounce. It makes a nasty noise whenever the backboard is hit. I followed the instructions to the dime on screwing in the rim, but the rim was still flimsy. I wedged a piece of rubber between the rim and the backboard, but the rim is still weak. Ball does not bounce well off of rim either. In this video, I threw balls at the hoop so simulate longer shots. I also held down the bottom of the backboard to simulate wall mounting, and either way, the rebound off the backboard was just cheap. If you're a basketball fanatic like me, you will NOT appreciate the cheapness of this hoop. It looks nice, I will admit, but my laundry basket hoops play much better.

On a side note, There was a bunch of crap stuck on the backboard when I received this product. Unless I got a miraculously deformed product and sklz can prove to me that mine is faulty and the others work better, I will be sending this back first thing next week.

This goal is DECENT, the back board should be made of something stronger than plastic. The reason for this is because when you lightly dunk it bends the whole backboard, which is not good for it. Also it still features part of the nerf basketball goals. You can't bank shot from a little far away (7 ft.) it will just go straight off the backboard to the ground. I would not recommend buying this idem, it is to expensive and it's not very strong. If you had to buy one though, I would get the regular sklz mini basketball goal. There isn't to much of a difference....

My 11 and 12-year-old boys use this indoors in their bedroom and are addicted to it. It's well made and they love dunking on it. The ball is too hard for indoor use, so they use a nerf basketball.

Great indoor mini hoop that looks pro as. Everything from looks, stability and durability is in one word AWESOME!! Very happy with the product.
