5.0 out of 5 stars Does the job
Maybe the poor reviewers received "lemons" but the one I have is great! It serves its purpose well and has helped me keep my sanity by allowing me to practice my swing inside during the snow storms. The two tees (of different height) also help simulate tee shots with your driver and irons.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not durable...
I purchased the Launch Pad last week and the first time I took it out to use it the grass, from the impact of the club, alread began to seperate. The grass mats are only very lightly gluded to the rubber mat and should have been threaded into the mat to make it more durable. I did like the two levels of turf to hit from but the mat is poorly made.

1.0 out of 5 stars horrible product. looks great. works horribly, October 7, 2008
This review is from: SKLZ Launch Pad (Sports)
so i wanted a mat to hit on with my net cause i was ripping up the lawn and this one looked great. i read the bad reviews and i figured they were bad copies. well i was wrong. after 4 days of usage the turf started ripping. dont get caught up in this great price.

instead i spent a little more money for a much better mat.

I don't really have anything new to add here that hasn't already been said. The concept of this product is awesome. Two different levels of turf you can use to practice driving and chipping in a relatively compact package. The problem, as others have said, is that the product is poorly made. It only took a few chip shots before the turf began to separate from the mat. I would be surprised if this fact was not already known by the manufacturer - unless they don't test their own products before releasing to market. It is such an obvious flaw in the design.

The turf separated from the rubber backing after about 100 balls hit. Cheap glue is my guess. Waste of money.

1.0 out of 5 stars Bah Humbug; Shoulda been runover by a Reindeer, December 28, 2011

I got this Launch Pad as a Christmas gift. I saw it and told my wife I had to have it. I took it outside that afternoon, during half-time of the football game. It tore apart on the 6th swing. I had read other people's reviews...but did I listen? Nooooo! I don't know who "Rick Smith (the Endorser)" is, but I see he endorses any cheap crap for a fee. This goes back to the store. I wont try another one. A. T. DOES NOT endorse this chinese rip-off. Pass on this one, y'all.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not perfect but gets the job done, October 4, 2010

I have gotten my money's worth from the launch pad, but have struggled occassionally with the pad moving when I brush or otherwise strike the pad during my swing. Tough to have both portability and stability in a product like this. I priced several similar products, and this by far was the greatest value.

3.0 out of 5 stars Practice hitting mat., July 23, 2010

The mat arrived in excellent condition. I appreciated the two practice tees of differing length. Unfortunately, hitting balls off of the mat surface leaves a green residue on the clubs that takes some scrubbing to remove.
