SKS Bipod Bayonet Lug Mount

So far i'm really happy with the SKS bipod. It mounts right into where the bayonet would go. The only problem i had was the screw it came with didn't quite fit in the holes. Had to get a different one which only costs a few cents. The bipod itself works and looks great on my gun, especially with a refinished classic wood stock, rifle scope and a thirty round detatchable mag.

It is made of good, quality aircraft grade aluminum. Fairly light weight, yet strong. The legs are even made of aluminum and in the style of M14 bipods. The only problem I had with it was that the mount was too skinny and I had to make it wider to fit into the bayonet lug tightly so as not to rattle and shake loosely. I bought some JB weld, and built up the thickness, took all of a few hours, then it mounted perfectly. This issue could just be with the fact I own a Yugo SKS, and they are slightly larger than the Chinese varients anyway. I would highly recommend this product for other owners of the SKS carbine.

This is the second 1-star review I've EVER given anything, the first was a muzzle brake for the SKS by the same company, NcStar. This thing FELL APART in like 5 minutes after I got it on the SKS, which was a pain because the screw kept stripping, and then the bolt stripped! Getting it back off after it broke sucked equally as bad. I ended up beating it with a hammer because I was just so unsatisfied with it, I didn't even want it to exist anymore. This is total garbage, save your money for a real bipod if you insist on putting one on your SKS. STAY AWAY FROM NCSTAR! They are TRASH. Any review for this product above a 1-star is fake, this product simply cannot function, the design is so poor. For example, the bipod legs will drop down freely, the springs that hold the adjustment clip are held in by pressure alone! It's laughable, what a waste of steel...

Replace your useless SKS bayonet with a bipod and improve your accuracy. This is a great value, and works just fine. I installed it in just a few minutes with no problems on my Chinese made SKS. It is all metal, and seems quite sturdy. I really enjoy shooting with the bipod, it improves speed and accuracy. Add a muzzle brake while you're at it.

I'm in the military, so I'm pretty critical of weapon accessories. I bought the bipod for my Yugo SKS and was thrilled. It fit. It was decent quality, and it only cost $20. You can't beat that. By all means, trick out your SKS with this bipod and get rid of that gay bayonet.

1st sent me wrong product and then actual product i ordered arrived broken...One leg comes completely off..So one sides adjustable one sides not..missing set pin...Was going to return but missed amazons return window by 4 days. Overall looks like good product but good luck on this one

So i bought this and it was awesome when i first put it on..

i went out shooting with it and all of the sudden springs and crap flew off and it wouldnt even stand up anymore without having to tape it after only 5 shots from my SKS..

Its super cheap and i guess you get what you pay for.

buy a rail mount if you want something decent its worth the money!

broke the first time i fired my weapon after installing it. recoil shook the springs out of it. they shot further than the bullet never to be found.

imported junk! lose fitting, had to shim tight. 1st time out did tighten group, was pleased. 2nd time out leg spring sprung out, gone. while looking at other..thank you safety glasses. ncstar wants me to ship back, only to get another, dont think so! smithy will make better. even make bushing for lose fitting flash\brake...arabian rider, arrogant angus farms oregon

When I received this bipod I extended the leg and I ended up with the leg in my right hand bipod in my left and a steel bearing and a spring on the floor. You get what you pay for.
