Works with modification on Md 59/66 SKS,

Got this for my Yugo Md 59/66 SKS. Works fine for adjusting windage. But, the tool does not fit the elevation post (the opening on the tool to slide over the post is too small). I filed it out with a flat file (took about five minutes) and now it works for the elevation post. Would have given it five stars if it fit right out of the box. However, it does now work well and, at the current price of $5, it is a good deal (at least to me).

I read some of the reviews prior to buying this item. A few of them were negative, things that are to be expected and the tool braking before it is able to perform the task it was designed for. I would attribute that to anomaly problems with front sights etc.
I have a Saiga AK, straight from the factory it was shooting around a foot or so to the left at 50 feet. I bought this tool and it performed the function it was designed for, it is slightly difficult to move the front post for windage, it just takes some strength. I have no complaints, my item worked for its intended purpose, and my rifle isn't a special case so I encountered no problems. You should note however if you are one of those people with a "problem" rifle or more specifically a problem front post, you might want to choose another tool that is higher grade metal or harder. I read a review saying that the part of the tool that pushes the sight just smashed or flattened. That part comes tapered or coned. Mine after 2 uses has noticeable flattening.

I got this for my Romanian GP-1975 AK-47. The tool works fine for adjusting elevation, but the hole is not large enough to fit for adjusting for windage. There's also not enough room to drill the hole out so that it can fit. It does fit for a Yugoslavian SKS.
I searched around online and found a lot of people with the same complaint, so apparently it's a common problem, not just limited to the model of weapons I own.

Got the Job Done,

The product worked on my Saiga after some maintenance. Had to file off a bit of extra metal on inside lip that the site post passes into. Like other NcStar products I've purchased in the past - they seem to be bottom of the barrel but get the job done. I didn't need a better quality part to move my sight.

The SKS and AK47 have a front sight that when it needs adjusting is a royal pain to do. This tool makes it fairly easy and does it well.

I was a little leary about buying this for my M70AB2 (Yugo AK-47) after reading some of the reviews which say it doesn't fit the windage adjustment plug, but I figured for the price I'll give it a shot. Got it today and it works great! It is a little tight on the windage plug, but it does fit. Maybe I just got lucky? But for the price, as compared to others at 5x the cost, it does exactly what it's supposed to do.

Seems to be fairly solid, hasn't broken yet. I had to file a bit of material out of the inside of the front sight block hole, but after doing so it fit my Bulgarian '74 clone well enough to move the block. For five bucks it certainly beats trying to sight it in with a rubber mallet and pliers.

More crap made in China won't work right. This is junk. I have a WASR AK and it won't fit around the left to right bolt. Waste of time and money. Even Mexico makes better crap than China yet we keep buying from them.

If you actually want to have a chance to adjust your sight for windage, buy a more expensive tool. This product is made out of aluminum and literally bends if your sight is a little too stubborn. It eventually got the job done however it is no longer usable to me do to the fact it is too bent up and wont align right. The product works well for adjusting elevation, but that's about it.

If you want to be able to adjust your AK / SKS front sight you need one of these. I would recommend tapering the inside of the hole opposite the screw adjuster. Mine was a bit too small for my AK sight. Good heavy steel tool.
