5.0 out of 5 stars SLC Punk Sndtrk - Missing Songs
Someone wrote a review and mentioned some missing songs from the soundtrack that were in the movie, and couldn't figure out what the name or band was that did one of the songs. I don't know if this helps but the name of the song you're looking for is "Gangster" and it was done by The Specials. It was the scene where Heroin Bob and Steve-O are trying to get beer...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad
Alright, the movie was great, the soundtrack was really good but it was missing the Minor Threat song "Look back and laugh" It's weird, I like most the bands on the cd, just i wasn't very impressed.

This review is from: SLC Punk: Original Soundtrack (Audio CD)
Someone wrote a review and mentioned some missing songs from the soundtrack that were in the movie, and couldn't figure out what the name or band was that did one of the songs. I don't know if this helps but the name of the song you're looking for is "Gangster" and it was done by The Specials. It was the scene where Heroin Bob and Steve-O are trying to get beer but the cop calls for an officer to follow them because he knows they are "Going to be trouble" as Steve-O says, and Bob and Steve-O get into a fight with the redneck cops. The next scene where Steve-O, Bob, and their friend are driving to Wyoming is "Beat My Guest" Hope that helps!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Soundtrack, June 8, 2005
This review is from: SLC Punk: Original Soundtrack (Audio CD)
This is a great soundtrack from a great movie.

To answer some questions below, The song from the scene in which eddie, bob, and stevo are in the car is 'Beat my Guest' by Adam and the Ants. A great song, sadly it is missing from the soundtrack.

The soundtrack is also missing the Minor Threat song, 'Someday You'll look back and Laugh,' another great song.

Despite missing those two songs, this soundtrack is still 5 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars SLC Punk music, May 25, 2005

To answer the earlier question of what song is put on after Bob takes out the rush tape at the end of the movie, the song is Kiss Me Deadly by Generation X

5.0 out of 5 stars SLC Punk -- Sheer Fantasy?, April 25, 2000
This review is from: SLC Punk: Original Soundtrack (Audio CD)
Corn dogs. This is the first thing that pops into my mind as I hear the mugient voice of Jello Biafra singing "Kill the Poor." No, my friends and I were not charging into rooms full of rednecks, or passing out in our own vomit in a desolate punk rock hideout, we sat in a garage eating corn dogs and listening to a radio with stolen electricity. For many of us growing up during the 1980's punk scene, the music was not only a celebration of our own "angst ridden, anti-establishment ideals" (probably the most overused expressions ever in regard to the punk movement), but a community in which we could find free expression and a poignant sharing of ideas. I think this soundtrack does an excellent job of conveying this. While many of us have since trimmed our mohawks and removed our nose rings, I think we can all enjoy the occasional corn dog.

5.0 out of 5 stars Generation X IS NOT from the U.S., November 16, 2002
This review is from: SLC Punk: Original Soundtrack (Audio CD)
Great soundtrack to a great film. Missing some songs, but don't most soundtracks?
P.S. to the reviewer below:
Generation X is from England, not the U.S. That's Billy Idol's first band. I wonder what Steve-O would think... poser

5.0 out of 5 stars Great cd great movie, March 18, 2000
This review is from: SLC Punk: Original Soundtrack (Audio CD)
I love this cd its a great comp. I love the song by generation x kiss me deadly it is a very cool song. The movie starts about beating people up but thats not the point of the movie and it has a lot of stuff about poseurs i love the exploited song to and the fifi song mirror in the bathroom. The Ramones song is a punk classic nuff said about it. But i watched that movie and at the end when steevo and bob are listening to generation x i think that is me so i had to get the cd with that song.
