The Hillert books are great for helping children learn to read. Sight workds are used to tell the oldest of tales such as the story of the three bears,the story of the ugly duckling, etc. This was ordered for my grandson who is 2 years old. I have other Hillert books that I have been reading to him since he was 9 months old. They are great for holding attention of the youngest children. As children grow older they learn to read and feel a real sense of accomplishment. My three children all started with these books and are great readers.
