5.0 out of 5 stars I want to get more pairs in different colors
My sister always wore clogs like these and I thought they looked clunky. Then I saw more and more people wearing them. Finally someone said, "get these if you take up boating, so the water can drain right out." So I got some, even though we don't have a boat yet.

2.0 out of 5 stars Does the term "walking farts" mean anything to you??
I bought a pair of these on sale for $4.98 and am glad I didn't spend any more on them than what I did. After wearing out two pairs of generic "Crocs" I gave Sloggers a shot. My sister always wore clogs like these and I thought they looked clunky. Then I saw more and more people wearing them. Finally someone said, "get these if you take up boating, so the water can drain right out." So I got some, even though we don't have a boat yet.
I wear them around while gardening and park them by the back door when I come in. I don't have to worry about them getting wet.
They are incredibly cushy and comfortable for walking. I don't even feel the gravel underfoot as I walk to the mailbox. The toe area is roomy enough for my wide foot and that's always been a struggle to find extra wide shoes to fit. They don't slip around.
For me, the part that comes up over the arch of the foot could be cut a little more open. I have a high arch though, and it rubs a little there.
They really are lightweight, so you don't feel like a clodhopper in them. Convenient to slip on and I'm really glad I finally gave in and got a pair.
These are softer than Crocs and don't have the rigid bumps inside. I much prefer Sloggers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful gardening shoe, June 4, 2006

I purchased my sloggers from a retail store by my home. I absolutely love them! They are great to wear while working in your yard. If they get muddy/dirty, just wash them off with the waterhose and they are clean again.

I bought a pair of these on sale for $4.98 and am glad I didn't spend any more on them than what I did. After wearing out two pairs of generic "Crocs" I gave Sloggers a shot. I'm just glad nobody was around when I walked out of the house with them on. The shoes do not have holes in them like most clogs of this style. Not only does this make the shoes hotter because you don't get the air circulation of the others, but it allows for a certain suction to occur on your foot. As you take a step, the suction is broken and a rather embrassing sound is emitted from the shoe as the air escapes around your foot. The end result, it sounds like you are passing gas with every step! I suppose if you only wear them in the garden this might be fine, but better hope nobody sneaks up on you! I was also very disappointed in the comfort level of these shoes. The insoles are quite hard feeling despite the fact that the shoes are extremely flexible. You feel EVERYTHING you step on and there is no cushioning effect because of the density of the insole material. I thought these would replace my cheap "Crocs"... instead my search continues.

3.0 out of 5 stars Wet Feet, November 17, 2010
I love the sloggers, but after 6 months of use, the sloggers logo on the bottom of the shoe separated from the shoe. This let water into it, wetting the bottom of my feet. I tried glue and it didn't help. Maybe I got a lemon pair. They should not place a separate piece on the bottom of the shoe. An imprint would not cause this problem, especially if placed elsewhere.

5.0 out of 5 stars Most comfortable and versatile muckshoes available, March 27, 2010

I bought my size 9's (for my 8 1/2 foot) Classic style at a garden store multiple years ago. They have been through many years of gardening, mowing, fiberglass work, dog walks, painting, outdoor house repair, etc. They still look exactly like when I first bought them.

Usually, I have very fussy feet and have to try on 30 pairs of sneakers to find a pair that fit, but these are comfortable right out of the box, although you wouldn't think so looking at them, because they have no padding. It is the shape that makes them comfortable. They are slimmer and more flattering than Crocs and are structured enough that you won't twist an ankle when walking on uneven surfaces. Their closed toes allow you to mow without fear that you will cut off a little piggy accidentally, and you don't have to wear socks with them. And, if left outside, the toes are squishy enough that you can step on them to make sure no scorpian is sleeping in there before putting them on.

They are fantastic for stepping in muck or poop, because unlike tennis shoes, you can just throw these things in a bucket of water or hose them off and wallah, they are back to perfect again. Even house paint will scrub right off. and intense year-round sun won't degrade the plastic either. Many times when you pull your foot out, it is the only clean part on your body. Because sweat forms sort of a vaccum effect, you probably won't step out of them like other clogs.

Haven't tried the "Premium" style yet. I hope they fit as well as the classic ones.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great! Love the clogs and not just for gardening, July 20, 2011
I was looking for a gardening shoe that is easy to put on and take off, and that are waterproof. I was looking at various clogs when I stumbled onto Sloggers. They turned out to be a perfect solution.

I wear size-7.5 in a regular shoe and got size-8 Sloggers. My feet are not super wide, but not narrow either. The Sloggers are a perfect fit. I have been wearing Sloggers for a couple of months now. They are very comfortable, and I have been wearing them not only in the garden or washing the car, but when I have to do quick errands in the rain. Once in a pouring rain I wore them to work, so I was in Sloggers for about 12 hours! I had no problems at all. I was as comfortable in the evening as I was in the morning. My feet were NOT hot and sweaty despite not taking them off for such a long time.

Sloggers are a bit heavier than I expected. They are made of rubberized material top and bottom. No openings anywhere, so they are very good for walking in wet grass. Surprisingly, my feet do not get too hot despite having no ventilation in the shoe. The sole of the shoe is nicely textured. I am attaching a photo which shows the top and the bottom of the shoe. Next to the shoe I positioned a ruler so you can see how high the back of the shoe rises. The back is not totally open, it has a slight rise which help to keep your foot firmly in the shoe. The bottom of the show has some padding, so it provides nice support for the foot and is responsible for very comfortable feel-ing. And of course they are very easy to put on and take off, which is very handy when your hands are covered with dirt from the garden.

The second photo I am attaching to this review shows my foot wearing the shoe, hopefully this gives a better idea of the look and fit than just the shoe by itself. In a close-up you can see a bit of room in the back - the difference between size-7.5 foot and size-8 shoe.

The men a work made fun of the shoes, they thought they were ugly (what do they know?), but I think they are cute plus very comfortable and functional.

4.0 out of 5 stars looking for more, June 3, 2007
I'm on my third pair and looking for another pair. I wear them just about every day and they last about a year. They have a plug in the bottom that eventually leaks. Oh well.

I thought I'd look at crocs/waldies as these are hot -- must have socks on with them really. But I can't complain and I bet if my seed and feed store has them when I get by there, I'll buy my fourth pair.

5.0 out of 5 stars My wife loves these shoes, September 29, 2011

My wife is an avid gardener, as well a landscape designer. Every morning she goes out to check how the garden is doing, do a bit of weeding, or checking how the growth on new plants are doing, but used a pair of duck shoes that required her to tie them on.

She wanted something that she could just slip on and go. And theses are the perfect shoes for that.

She has told me that they are comfortable for just walking around the yard in, and especially the size. She has small feet, and these came in her size.

Since I got them for her, she has been using them on a daily basis.

Highly recommended for those that are doing small things in the yard. Not for heavy yard work at all, though.

4.0 out of 5 stars For the Garden., July 6, 2011

My wife said a new pair of gqrdening shoes was essential. She already had a pair of Clogs but it seems she misplaced one of them. Hmmmm. Well, why not use a pair of your old athletic shoes, I asked? No, that wouldn't do. She needed gardening shoes. So we visited the local gardening center. Sure enough, there was a display of Sloggers Unisex Garden Sandals. She chose a pair of size eight, dark green ones. Ugly! Well, yes, but they were comfortable, waterproof, easy to clean and could be stored with some of the garden stuff out on the patio. She promised never to wear them outside of doing work in the garden, although I've seen women walking around with them on in shopping centers. She would never do that, I was assured. Why didn't I also get a pair? Well, thanks, but no thanks. I could use some of my old running shoes. What next?
