Amazon.com Review
One of the big challenges with a scroll saw is changing the blade, but Deltas Quickset II blade system just snaps open and closed, so a once arduous task is reduced to an easy couple of seconds. That means, of course, that interior cuts, once the dread of beginners, are actually fun with this saw.
Max cutting depth is 2 inches, but only with soft woods. The spring hold-down is a nice design that holds the workpiece without impeding your line of sight, and the blower keeps the cut line nice and clear. You can get a zero-clearance insert for this saw that will leave your cuts absolutely tear-free and smooth, too.
The 16-inch throat is plenty for most hobbyists needs, giving you enough room to turn and maneuver. The smoothly machined table tilts nicely to 45 degrees, and blade tensioning and speed control are right at your fingertips. We think its quite a saw for the price.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste
