This is the only solar fountain that really works! I have had a couple others and either the panel just didnt' work or the fountain itself required constant cleaning or something just didn't work. This fountain is so cute, when it gets into the sunshine (I don't anchor it) it sprays a jet of water into the air exactly as it is supposed to - very cute and very cheerful!

This was for my parents who are on solar power. Unfortunately, it wasn't long before it wasn't working at all, even though it didn't do anything by sit there in the sun. I couldn't recommend this one.

CONSUMERS, PLEASE SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS SORRY PRODUCT! I PURCHASED IT LAST YEAR (SPRING) AND STORED IT FOR THE WINTER FROM OCT TIL APRIL. YET STILL BECAUSE THIS PRODUCT IS POORLY MADE IT IS NOT OPERATING THAT WELL THIS SUMMER. THIS SOLAR FOUNTAIN IS SUPPOSE TO BE MADE TO WORK IN A FOUNTAIN OR SMALL POND, BUT UNLESS YOU KEEP THE FOUNTAIN/POND FREE OF ALGAE AND OTHER DEBRIS THIS PRODUCT WILL SLOWLY STOP WORKING PROPERLY. SINCE IT IS MADE FOR THE OUTDOORS ELEMENTS IT SHOULD BE ABLE TO WITHSTAND ALL TYPES OF WATER CONDITIONS. YES, I DID CLEAN IT REGULARLY. PLEASE NOTE, IT IS VERY HARD TO FIND THESE SOLAR FOUNTAINS FOR LESS THAN $35 AND THAT AMOUNT OF MONEY IS NOTHING TO SNEEZE AT. THEREFORE, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE PURCHASE THIS SOLAR FOUNTAIN UNLESS THEY DONT MIND THAT IT WILL NOT LAST NO MORE THAN 2 SUMMER SEASONS.

Don't buy this item. It lasted less than a year yet I followed instruction's manual on care & maintenance. It did initially work great but did not last long enough for what you pay for.

I took a chance on this product after reading a few reviews. It worked great for a few weeks and was very happy. It made me wonder why everything isn't run by solar power! After about 3 weeks it stopped working completely. I am very disappointed!

I am pretty happy with this product. In full sun it can shoot water ~10 inches high, but stops running when shade covers it. It is thicker than I expected at ~4 inches, so it needs to be in deeper water (and not a birdbath). For the price it is a good value and a cute water feature.

I think that a solar flare would be needed to get the water to look as good as it did in the picture

If your pond spends enough of the day in full, straight-overhead sunlight, this fountain is wonderful. I incorrectly thought that there might be some functioning in leaf-dappled sunlight, or in sunlight that strikes the water's surface from an angle in the morning. This is NOT the case. The fountain does not run at all unless it is being exposed to very strong, direct sunlight.
