I love the design of this particular oil burner but I wish it were a little taller as the glass dish becomes very hot from the tealight candle. But it works very well and is attractive.

Nice design. Works perfectly if you use common sense...,

Those who complain about smoking or burning oil likely either didn't include water (you put water in the saucer and add a few drops of oil to that - the water keeps the oil from burning and warms it gently) or put it too close to something else. I found that if its within a few inches of another item, the heat doesn't disperse and the dish will overheat. Then it starts "smoking' although it seems to be more mist from the water than burning oil. I found that as long as you keep 3-4 inches all around free of other objects, the heat never builds up enough to overheat. You may also get overheating if the burning wick of the candle gets longer than 1/4 inch. With all that in mind (mostly taking care and using common sense), its a lovely design that works well with my decor and has never failed. As long as I make sure the water level is high enough, I've found that it will last as long as the candle does so I don't have to keep refilling it. The oil gives me a much wider array of scents than room fresheners do. Personally, I use Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab perfume oils. My favorites for the oil warmer are "Shanghai" which is a fresh green tea scent or "Mr Ibis" which is an Aloe, musk, and papyrus scent.

This diffuser seems to really work well, I use it to diffuse essential oils in my home. It looks alot better than others I've seen, and the removable glass is easy to clean.
