Found a need for a third bridge in my home network, so I went looking for another SMC 2870 (discontinued now, however). If you're looking for a reliable 802.11g bridge, this one works well, has good range and with the dual antennae. I have used this with a game console directly plugged into it, but usually have a 4 port switch plugged into it so I can share the connection with multiple wired devices (including my ReplayTV DVRs). I am looking to buy another 802.11g based bridge as I'm still holding out for the MIMO/Draft N standards to settle down before I upgrade.
