This SMC KRH07-35S flame-resistant tube fitting adapts 1/4" NPT male thread to a push-to-connect fitting for 1/4" OD tubing. Its National Pipe Taper (NPT) thread has a sealant applied to ensure an air- and water-tight seal, and a collet and chuck mechanism securely holds the tubing. The fitting consists of parts made of C3604 brass, stainless steel, polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), and polyacetal (POM), and is flame-resistant to Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 94 V-0 standard. It is suitable for use with soft nylon tubing at a maximum operating pressure of 145 pounds per square inch (psi) and an operating temperature range of -5 to +60 degrees C. This KR series push-to-connect tube fitting resists damage from weld splatter and is suitable for use with air and water in low-vacuum and in pressure applications, such as in metal fabrication.
Tube fittings are components used for connecting, branching, terminating, and changing the direction of tubing in pneumatic and hydraulic systems. They are made of brass, stainless steel, polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), and other materials that resist corrosion and wear. Tube fittings have various types of connections, including threaded, welded, barbed, and push-to-connect (also called one-touch). Push-to-connect connections do not require tools or sealants. Tube fittings are used in various applications, including machine tools, airplane and truck controls, and automated production lines, among others.
