This SMC KSH03-32 rotary (swivel) tube fitting adapts 10-32 UNF male thread to a push-to-connect fitting for 5/32" OD tubing. Ball bearings and two-part construction allow 360-degree rotation. The Unified National Fine (UNF) thread fitting has a rubber-coated stainless steel gasket to ensure an air-tight seal. The nickel-plated CA3604 brass and polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) fitting is corrosion-resistant and is suitable for use with nylon, soft nylon, and polyurethane tubing at a maximum operating pressure of 145 pounds per square inch (psi), a maximum operating vacuum of -100 kilopascals (kPa), and an operating temperature range of -5 to +60 degrees C. This KS series push-to-connect swivel tube fitting rotates freely without allowing the tubing to rotate in the chuck and is suitable for use with air in both vacuum and pressure applications, such as with air tools in a robotic assembly environment.
Tube fittings are components used for connecting, branching, terminating, and changing the direction of tubing in pneumatic and hydraulic systems. They are made of brass, stainless steel, polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), and other materials that resist corrosion and wear. Tube fittings have various types of connections, including threaded, welded, barbed, and push-to-connect (also called one-touch). Push-to-connect connections do not require tools or sealants. Tube fittings are used in various applications, including machine tools, airplane and truck controls, and automated production lines, among others.
