The Best Bluetooth Mouse made,
By

This review is from: SMK-Link Rechargeable Bluetooth Wireless Notebook Mouse (VP6151) (Personal Computers)
This is my second mouse that I've purchased because I love the first one. Oh it still works, but I want to use it with my laptop and didn't want to sacrifice not having one for my desktop. It's one of the few Bluetooth mice that actually works well--no problems pairing or with loss of signal as I've had with other mice.
The best thing is that this one is rechargeable using a USB cable that allows you to continue using it while it charges. No exotic battery in it either, just common rechargeable AAA size. For the Mac, the white and silver finish is ideal. And while you may not have heard of this company before, this mouse lived a previous life under another name--the Targus AMB02US. It's nearly identical except for one extra button that I never really used. If you want wireless convenience and are concerned with battery usage, you need one of these. It works great on both the PC and Mac.

Nice little mouse for a PC notebook even though is says it's for a Mac,

At first I was worried when I opened the Amazon shipping box and read the product packaging because it says it is for "Mac OS". Even the directions are for Mac only, but I decided to try it on my PC anyway because the online description says for Windows and Mac. So I plugged it in, turned it on, pressed the connect button on the bottom and bam, my PC bluetooth found it instantly. I clicked connect and it started working immediately. The size is small, but not too small for my large hand. It has a nice little carrying bag, uses a USB to charge and best of all, you can use it while it's charging with the cable. You can then disconnect the cable once it's fully charged and keep on working without missing a beat.

This mouse is small and portable and comes with a little cloth bag that makes it easy to transport while traveling. The tracking is accurate, the buttons provide excellent tactile feedback. The batteries recharge via the USB cable, which is very convenient. The one problem with this mouse is that it seems to fall asleep after about 30 seconds. The only way that I have found to wake up the sleeping mouse is to click it. Unfortunately, this click can sometimes activate whichever button the cursor is over.

Rechargeable feature not as great as it sounds,

I have used this mouse for 2-3 months on a MacBook Pro. When the mouse is recharging and in use, it behaves strangely. Constant 'connection lost' messages, slow startup from rest, and sometimes I cannot find the cursor. When it is not recharging it behaves just fine and I like it well enough. But the time between recharges is not long, a couple of weeks maybe, and then I'm in recharge mode.
At the same time I bought this, I bought my wife a Kensington Slimblade (?) bluetooth presenter mouse, also for an MBP. She loves it, and when I use it I have a sense of remorse that I did not buy two. BTW, she is still on the original batteries and she has at least 50 power on hours a week, or more. One other thing, I think the laser in the Kensington is more precise and a bit easier to use than the optical here. Not a big deal, but it may make a difference to some. Overall, the SMK-Link is a good mouse, and may fit the hand better than the other, but the performance while recharging is annoying.

I purchased this a few months ago and I'm very happy I did. I've used apple's bluetooth mouse, and as much as I'm liking my mac laptop, I did NOT like the mouse (plus it was very expensive). I came across this one when doing a bit of research, read the reviews, and decided to try it out. It's been a GREAT mouse! Its got great response, very comfortable, very user friendly. I'm very eco friendly so the rechargeable aspect was great. I've read the other review that didn't like how long the charge held, and perhaps they didn't charge it enough the first time they got it. After putting in the batteries, I just charged it overnight, and I use the thing for days without having to charge it again (albeit I'm good about turning it off when I'm not using it). Very impressed and have recommended it to many other people.

I appreciate it when a product just "works" like this one. No installation or setup confusion, no hassles. The only issue I had was that I had to uninstall/reinstall my Sony Vaio bluetooth service since the mouse was recognized but not rendered active. I tested the mouse on another bluetooth-capable computer so I knew my computer was the problem, not the mouse. Sony tech support was useless (as many have reported before me). They suggested resetting the BIOS and running the Windows "recovery" service. It was me, the hapless user, who had enough sense to know that neither of these suggested remedies was wise (let alone worthwhile) and decided, with fingers crossed, to simply reinstall the bluetooth software and see what happens. All's well that ends well. If you DO have any trouble when installing the mouse be sure to test it on another computer. Had I returned it to the manufacturer for repair/replacement I would only have succeed in wasting everyone's time.

Bluetooth Freedom,

This is a plug-n-play functional mouse for my Macbook which works just like all other mouse I've used. It goes to sleep a bit too soon, however, it comes back alive soon enough after moving it around which also wakes Macbook from sleep right away.
The best I like about bluetooth is that it enables me to connect my Macbook to TV and I can sit on sofa to enjoy the contents with longer range remote mouse control. Another benefit is I don't need to live with a dangling RF receiver on the floor as with my other wireless mouse with Windows notebook. For best result charge this mouse while you're not using your notebook/Macbook otherwise its behaviors are intermittent at best. BTW, built-in rechargeable battery is a plus.

This product is perfect in every way.
I run it on two rechargeable AA's and can recharge via the mini-usb if necessary. BY GOING BLUETOOTH U KEEP ANOTHER USB PORT OPEN unlike the other so-called wireless mice that still need a receiver taking up a usb port. Set up - Easy Accuracy - Spot On BUY IT

Convenient, responsive mouse...,

This mouse works well. It's smallish, but not awkwardly so, and it holds a charge well. Be sure to read the instruction manual carefully about how to get it to "recognize" the Bluetooth signal on your computer. With my computer--a Sony, like the Mouse--it didn't connect as "plug and play."

I just got this smk-link mouse today and I gotta say it works really well. No problems at all. I really like the fact that you can recharge it while you use it. After all, why would I want to keep buying batteries? That's the main reason I got it. It tracks accurately and is comfortable in my palm. I also like the simple design. The only criticism I have is that if you use it while it's recharging and don't move it for a few seconds it goes to sleep and then you have to click on the screen. But that's only when it's recharging and not while you're using it without the cord. Really not even a big deal. All in all the smk-link mouse is probably the best rechargeable bluetooth mouse out there.
