We do presentations and corporate "games", and wanted a sound system we could carry around, set up easily and loud enough to allow groups of 50 or so in a medium-sized room to hear presentations; and groups of 100 or so in a larger room to hear music and sound effects from the "games."

The GoSpeak was my choice, based in part on Amazon and other reviews - and because it seemed to be the only viable option, not that many portable speaker systems for corporate presentations around. It comes nicely packed in a black briefcase-sized carrying case with strap, easy to carry. We re-packed it into a larger laptop bag with laptop and it fit well, no problems.

It comes with the speakers, case, wireless microphone and receiver, single earphone, and assorted cords.

Sound was fine for our needs, in both presentation and "game" mode. Sounds good with music, but these are not Bose speakers, so don't expect great fidelity. Used it with a Samsung NC-10 with no problem.

The entire setup can be done without any instructions, it's hard to mess it up. Plug it in, attached the speaker out (headphone out) on the laptop to the Line in, attach the wireless microphone receiver with the cord to the Mic in, turn everything on and go.

Why 5 Stars? With the exception of the advertising claim that the speakers will work fine for presentations to groups of 100 or more in large rooms, which is a bit of a stretch...it does what it claims to do. It is well-made, easy to carry and use. Expensive, but if this is what you need, it is worth the money.

We have tried - and failed - to use this product. First, WHEN you can get it to work, the volume would fill a medium sized class room, but never a lecture hall or auditorium. It simply does not have the guts. Finally, the system will only function when the notebook PC (Dell) is unplugged from the AC power. As soon as the PC AC adapter is plugged in you get a very loud buzzing noise that we cannot find a way to make disappear. We are disappointed.
