I never had the chance to play the Neo Geo when I was a kid, so this collection was greatly welcomed by me. Baseball Stars 2, Samurai Shodown, Metal Slug, and King of the Monsters are worth the price by themselves. You can also play the games with a classic controller or GameCube controller, as well as with a Wiimote, and Wiimote plus nunchuck. I can't wait for volume 2!

Remember when those Neo-Geo systems first came out? The games were so expensive that only one or two of the richest kids in school had one or two games. Or at least, that's how I saw it! Now you can own those rippin' expensive games for a fraction of the cost. And, all-in-all, it's worth it. There is some repetition with the fighting games, but that may be where the greatest strength for this collection comes from depending on your personal tastes. I personally loved the side-scrolling platformers; Metal Slug and Top Hunters are cool as hell, with pretty impressive graphics considering their age. The sports games, Baseball Stars 2 and Super Sidekicks 3 seem incredibly difficult, but then I remind us all that most of these games were designed for the arcade in which precious quarters can't be earned with a game that takes minimal effort to beat! Sengoku give us some nice Double Dragon action in a Japanese spirit world setting (ala Ronin Warriors). There are a couple other games, including a shooter that are interesting, but I haven't had much time to play, yet. Bottom line, dudes and dudettes, if you're interested in a little retro fix, and considering the lack of these types of games on the Wii, you won't regret dropping a few bucks on this collection.

This is an excellent compilation of classic arcade games that I enjoyed as
a kid. SNK's NEO GEO titles are often overlooked or considered inferior to
other companies such as Capcom, however these games speak for themselves.
SNK Arcade Classics Volume 1

There is quite a variety of games contained on this compilation disc and fills the gaps on many genres. This game has something for everyone that likes retro games or old arcade games. I am not going to go over every game contained on the disc because that could take an entire week.

First the graphics look good for the most part and hold up well in todays modern world and the sound is more than adequate. If you like 2d fighting games then this game is well worth picking up as it contains quite a few of the SNK classic fighters. The majority of the games are quite fun to play especially Metal Slug. There are a few games that really are not so good. Bottom line is the good games make this well worth picking up. Check it out for yourself and I doubt you will regret it.

Perfect game for any buff of Arcade style action, especially classic arcade action! I can wait to see what will be in-store for volume #2

Played these in the arcade when I was a kid. Highly recommended to anyone looking for some quick side-scrolling action and 2d fighting!

For those fans of old arcade games this is your game. Nostalgic and fun, but not much for the new generation (not give it 5 stars for my nephew)

This game brings back memories of true arcade style gaming with fast action and loud SFX!

A Bunch of good old school games from the 20Th century that are wroth to play again!!

most of these are early Neo Geo games which tbqh weren't very good, 16 games seem like a huge bargain until you try them and realize you would never play most of them again, alot of these games did have improved sequels so you're better off waiting for a Volume 2 if SNK ever decides to do one
