My name is Jon F. Merz. I'm an entertainer. I give people an escape from their daily lives - whether it's for an hour, a few minutes, or days at a stretch.

THE LAWSON VAMPIRE SERIES

Let's face it: there are a LOT of vampire series out there. But none of them are like Lawson. My vampires aren't undead; they're a living race that has evolved in secret alongside humanity for generations. Lawson works as a Fixer - it's his job to keep the existence of his race a secret and he does this by eliminating anything or anyone that threatens to expose that secret. He's cynical, jaded, sarcastic, and conflicted. He's also extremely lethal. I happen to think you'll like him. A LOT. The series is always expanding, but for now, here are the adventures to-date: (blue covers are novels, green covers are novellas, and red covers are short stories)

MY LIFE

In my past, I served with the US Air Force, did some government work, private sector protection stuff, and generally lived through some harrowing encounters. These days, I'm excited to be able to do what I love. I have a wonderful wife and two amazing sons. I'm also a lifelong martial artist with over 27 years of training in various styles including 20 years in my current style Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu/Ninjutsu. I'm fortunate to have one of the best teachers around - Mr. Mark Davis of the Boston Martial Arts Center and his instruction has saved my life numerous times.

To start with, if you're a newbie when it comes to Facebook "Fan" pages (these are now the pages that you can "Like"), this will really help you. Merz leads you step-by-step and makes it easy for you to get started.

If you already know your way around a Facebook page (which is not the same thing as your regular Facebook profile), there's still some good info here, particularly when it comes to customizing your own boxes/tabs with html, as well as a little more here and there.

My suggestion to the author would be to add a section on how to actually maintain the page with useful updates and discuss some strategies for doing that. This ebook covers the nuts and bolts of getting the page set up and gives you some good ideas on the technical side, but a little more guidance on how to maintain your page after you've set it up would be a nice addition. Another thing he could talk about is how to add new Facebook friends to your pages (for example, interact with people a bit before you send them an invitation). Lastly, a discussion of the "update" feature would be useful.

I still gave this 5 stars because the author correctly identifies in the product description exactly what the ebook covers and the info is good. Extra points for breaking down the process to make it easy to follow.

I used this guide to set up my own fan page. The step by step instructions were simple and easy to follow. There were many tips that I know I would not have found myself. Jon has written an excellent guide. If you are setting up a fan page, this book is a must!
